Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: Wiki?
« on: May 10, 2009, 02:20:53 PM »
The wiki was a bad idea for me. It just confused a lot of people. So I'll be doing away with it and instead organizing content in a more simple way.

Whoa I haven't seen you in ages.
Yah, I stepped away from here for a while in an attempt to keep the peace. I thought that if I wasn't around, Gary and I wouldn't butt heads. Looking at some of the threads here, I see that I didn't need to be here to piss Gary off. :hmm: Oh well, water under the bridge. B)

Programming / Re: When was TWC's best year?

For me, it's 1993 with 1992 in close second.

I refuse to use Internet Explorer unless I need to. I hate it with a passion. This is why I love Firefox :)
Me too. I'm a professional web developer and IE (in particular, IE6) is the biggest pain in the ass!

As a gesture of goodwill, I've removed from the ban list Matt and the two TWCC members whom I'd previously banned. Hopefully this will be a step toward peace between the two sites.
I also want peace between my site and TWCT. I have already made ammends with Gary, but would like to take it one step further and offer my skills to fix the PHP errors on this site. I'm not sure who handles the scripts, but if they're interested in my help, feel free to send me a PM. :)

General Discussion / Re: Welcome, Nick!

I'm shocked to see you here too, Nick! :thrilled: Oh wait, you told me a few weeks ago. :itsok:

I've attached a screenshot of the program I had to use. As you can clearly see, I am not a liar.

You'd better make sure what that program's for, because I've downloaded over a dozen songs through Snocap with need for a program to do so. As you can see, Nicole figured out how to download her songs in just a few seconds with my help. So obviously I know a little bit of what I'm talking about.
I know what the program is for. I used it to download two songs a while back. I never said you were wrong. Matter of fact, I didn't say ANYTHING about your post. I was just explaining my experience thinking it might help. I didn't realize that your experience was the only one that counted. I'll be sure to remember that the next time I think about trying to help someone here. <_<

I've downloaded from Snocap before and didn't need any seperate program. Let's stick to facts Matt. Nothing personal, we just needn't complicate matters further.  :sunglasses:
Excuse me!? I KNOW I had to download a program in order to download the songs. In fact, the program is still on my laptop. If you didn't have to download a program, great. But don't call me a liar just because you had a different experience! :furious:

At any rate, I'm glad you finally figured things out Nicole. :)

IIRC, Snocap requires a separate program to download the music. And the program works in the system tray. Did you download the program and run it? :hmm: I'm surprised their website doesn't have any contact info (very unprofessional). In fact, it doesn't seem to acknowledge the fans at all.

Local Forecast / Re: Ryan Farish tune
« on: June 26, 2008, 03:36:49 PM »
I searched this artist on TWCC and no results showed up there either.
No, TWC has never used his music. Paul Hardcastle is an ASCAP artist.

LOL, now I'll forever be wondering why I had the song in the first place.
I don't know. Paul Hardcastle is a pretty good artist, so maybe that's why you downloaded it. ;)

Victory! Gary, the artist is Paul Hardcastle and the song is called "Lazy Days." I KNEW it sounded familiar! :twothumbs:

I was going to say this yesterday, but it almost sounds like it could be 3rd Force...
I agree w/Gary. Doesn't sound like them either.

If that's Ryan Farish, then he did a 180 with his style from the earlier days. I'm not familiar with all of his songs, but I was around during his mp3.com days and don't recall him having anything other than that ethereal/cool newage sound. I mean the style of the song you posted is completely different, IMO. Different instruments, different sounds. Matter of fact, it sounds more like a smooth jazz song. If it is him, though, it certainly wouldn't be the first time an artist has surprised me in that way.
