I actually liked it when the NWS had their forecasts in all caps. It was easier to read and more attention grabbing, IMO.
I feel the same way, which is why I'm not crazy about the change.

Was this really a problem for people? I mean, the average person doesn't get their weather forecast from the NWS. And I doubt anyone that does was offended by the uppercase text.

If you have the date from the LF, getting the year is easy. I use the Windows calendar, starting with the year I think it's from. Then I just go forwards and/or backwards until the day of the week matches.

Local Forecast / Re: Smooth Jazz Return!

Who runs the music there? Why take it off after one day? That makes me even more upset; they're toying with us.
I don't get it either. They say it was a test. What needed to be tested? Either you play it or you don't.

The first song is "Simple Pleasure" by Jeanne Ricks. Not sure of the second one.

I don't see any reason why you can't. How do you get Weather Nation without cable?

Everything Else Classic TWC / Re: Prime Time Tonight

I only know of the show through contributors, but I like it. I'm a little surprised it didn't catch on. Sure, you also had Prevue Guide, but I don't think they actually previewed any of the shows at the time.

The only one I can think of is "Green Valley" by William Green.

I like hearing the WS3000 narration and WS4000 narration set on them.

I have the same thing on my site, you know. ;)

Yes! That's the one. He did have interesting local forecast playlist and I still have them. They don't work anymore on that site.

I seem to recall him putting them back up awhile back, but I guess he later took them down (again). What did you like about them?

Does any here used to own a website called TWC Multimedia?

You mean this site?

http://www.booksbyhunter.net/twcmultimedia/starks/

I believe it was created by this guy:

TWC Today News / Re: Martin's passing and the future of TWC Today
« on: October 31, 2015, 07:32:34 PM »
I am still shocked by the news. The last time I talked to Martin was a few months ago. Strangely enough, it was about the future of this site. I noticed that he had been absent lately and asked if he had thought about having someone else take over the site. He said that he had, but wasn't able to find anyone (at that point) that a) had the skills b) had the time. Naturally I expressed my interest, and he seemed receptive. He said he would get back to me later in the week, but never did. I tried twice to reconnect, but he never responded. So I will add my name to the list of people that are willing to help keep things going.
