HD Local Concept
This concept is nearly finished, minus the almanac. In addition, changes to the health screen are coming as well. Once the changes are complete, I will upload a final version. Enjoy!
What's wrong with rap? The rap nowadays, I admit is pretty bad. But rap from the 80s till about 2000 was at its best. The true legends of the rap/hip-hop genre are Tupac, Biggie, Nas, LL Cool J, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Rakim, KRS-One, Slick Rick, A Tribe Called Quest, etc.Uh, everything. First of all, it's not music. Music requires a melody and I've never heard a rap song with a melody. Then there's all the lyrics about hating white people and cops, exploiting women, and glamorizing violence. Sure, not ALL rappers are like that. But a lot of them are.
How does The Weather Channel compete with MTV? I don't really see the connection thereEasy. Both show programming that has nothing to do with their original concept.
I would also have to agree with Beanboy89 for mentioning that if Jim and all of the other good OCMs leaves the network, TWC won't be the same.TWC hasn't been the same since 2000 or so.
A video featuring Jim Cantore is now on the old site, explaning all the new features of the NEW weather.com. The timeline part is kind of interesting.Just watched it. Interesting indeed - minus the pop-culture stuff.
But I don't understand how The Beatles can be overrated...they've sold over a billion albums and are the most successful group in the history of the world, possibly the Universe. They definitely deserve to be on top of the world. That's kind of the idea. Artists that you think critics and/or fans over-obsess about. It's kind of hard to consider an artist overrated if they don't sell many records. Just because an artist has sold millions of records, doesn't mean they're good.
And yea, Matt, I think a lot of what you said is poor choices...they form the bulk of commercially successful music in the past 50 years, and most of it is definitely better than what has come out in recent years. But that's just me.
Yea, I'd yank The Beatles from being overrated. Chances are they're better than the off-key donkey whinnies we listen to everyday on the 8's Billy Joel, U2, Eric Clapton and Elton John can get off that list, too.Somehow I'm not surprised you would say that.
