I thought 1999 was the release of "Stormy Weather".
"Stormy Weather" was released in 1998. The "1999 TWC Music" cassette contained the final set of music they composed.

Why does an Artist make their music unavailable?  It makes no sense to make the music unavailable so new listeners can't get it.
Artists don't "make" their music unavailable. Publishers just stop publishing them when they can turn a profit. Making CDs isn't free, you know. :)

However, I don't see why they couldn't have made their recordings available as mp3 downloads (unless the masters are gone).

"With You" is from Ficara's first album, "Tribal Jazz." It was widely available at one time, but I guess all of their work is now unavailable.

Is this the same Bonnie McLaughlin of Weather Channel fame? If so, she has not aged well.

It's called Limelight by Spyro Gyra!
Really? Wow. That was used in '89, not '91.

Anyway, glad you found it. :D

From a programmer's viewpoint, I can appreciate the amount of work it likely took to do this. Looking at it that way, it is quite impressive.

From a viewer viewpoint, however, I don't like it (shocking, I know). First of all, there is too much information on the screen at one time. So I often don't know what to look at.

The screens go by way too fast. Their programmers and testers must be really fast readers!

My biggest complaint, though, is the needless "flair." When I say "flair," I mean things like the animated picture of what weather will be like in the 36 hour forecast and the glowing line that goes across the tops of the yellow bars on the hourly forecast. And then there's that REALLY bright sun that "rises" on the left in the Almanac. Wow! I half expected puppies and kittens to come out and start licking the screen. Seriously, keep it simple. Less is more.

I noticed it's still in Beta though.
It's only been a few days. With a site as large as weather.com, beta testing could take weeks.

Were those two Kenny G songs used earlier on TWC?
Yes. "Joy of Life" was used in '93 and "Midnight Motion" was used in '88.

Jamaican Nights by Russ Freeman was used before, right? it sounds so familiar.
According to Matt's site, that song was on the December 1986 playlist.  However, I didn't hear that song in the video you posted here.
That is what Soundhound on a friend's ipod touch says...I sampled it on Amazon and it sounds the same although I haven't heard the full song.
Listening to the middle of that song, it does sound like it. The other two I recognized were "The Joy Of Life" and "Midnight Motion" by Kenny G.
