There has not been any music on the weatherscan all day, but the narration "Your current conditions, etc." still plays.

Weatherscan Discussion / Music Outage?

Anyone else's music out on their weatherscan?  The narration is still going, but no music.

I contacted TWC and Cox about both issues plus why we're getting Junction City and not a city like Lawrence instead. They fixed the Olathe/Junction City problem yesterday. The guy at Cox Tech Support emailed me back and said he'd forward the adding different cities issue to the engineers to see what could be done. A different guy with Cox Tech via phone told me all the Weatherscan Intellistars across the area were reading Temporarily Unavailable due to a "satellite alignment issue TWC is working on." Which I don't believe. Call Cox and report the problem. They see it as a "if only one person reports it then it's only happening with you." problem. If you call or email they're muchmore likely to correct it.
Do you live in Topeka too?  I was thinking that the weatherstar unit was serving both the Topeka and Manhattan/JC areas and that was why they had Junction City on there but I'm not completely sure.

Yes, I didn't look at each and every city, as most cities are tied into a "regional" channel line up but all of the ones I looked at had weatherscan. In Arkansas it appears to be on channel 137.

The only other 24/7 weather thing we have is with a local ABC station called "KTKA 49 Weathernow" and they provide current conditions, weather forecasts, radar, etc. 24/7 with an occasional update from a meterologist.  Of course there is also "Kansas 22"...a statewide channel on Cox Kansas in which KSN-TV from Wichita and KSNT-TV from Topeka (Although mostly KSN) provide news and weather updates 24/7 for the state.  Here are some snapshots.

I was looking at the channel lineups for communities served by Cox in Kansas & Arkansas and every single one of them have weatherscan.  In Kansas they are all on Channel 270.  It appears as if Cox of KS & AR has added weatherscan to every community it serves!  Any other cable companies doing this?  Perhaps with all these communities added, they will get some new songs on there or something.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Malware?

I use Google's Chrome brower for my internet surfing, and I was on page 16 of "Billys Artwork" under "TWC Fan Art" when I went to click on page 14 and Google alerted me of malware on that page.  Although I doubt this is actually true, you may consider contacting google's security people (If you can?) and letting them know it is not.  Here is a screenshot:

General Emulator Discussion / Request

I sent a request to Martin a couple of days ago asking to join the thing, and I have not got a response back.  Is this still the proper way to go about joining the Emulator?  I seen somewhere on this form there was another way.

Local Forecast / Re: Weatherstar 4000 Locations that remain
« on: May 26, 2010, 09:46:38 PM »
Sorry to bring up an old topic but Topeka, KS Hasn't had an 4000 in years.  The videos seen online are from the Perry and Lecompton, KS areas where their cable service (SCI Cable Inc.) has a 4000.

Your Local Weather / Kansas Weather

On TWCC I had a Kansas Statewide weather thread so why not here?

==In the News==
Western Kansas has seen some springtime thunderstorms erupt as numerous tornado warnings were issued early this week and a few tornadoes reported.  No damage or injuries were reported.  Across the Eastern part of the state highs climbed into the upper 80s.

It's not being discontinued.
Thank gosh! We just got it...and Its on my TV at least 5 times a day now.  Great to be able to turn the channel to a station where you can immediately get weather.
