Weatherscan Discussion / Music on WS
« on: May 25, 2010, 08:12:23 PM »
So how many songs are on Weatherscan and how often do they change the music set.  Most of the time it sounds to me like there is like 5.

And here when I was in Middle School they were always pushing to use Google for searching.  I find that funny.

General Discussion / Re: Introduce Yourself! (For New Members)

I'm kind of new, as I once used to prow around twcclassics 24/7.  But seeing as this is a completely new board, I imagine there are a ton of you who don't know me, and a ton of you whom I don't know.

My name is Dylan Edwards (Add me on facebook if you please) and I recently graduated from High School ('10!!).  I live in Topeka, Kansas and have been a fan of TWC for quiet some time.  In addition the TWC my other interests are Photography, Weather, and Tornado Sirens...yeah sirens.  They have been an interest of mine longer than TWC.  My Favorite weatherstar is the XL (New version)...and yeah...that's me!  :thrilled:

@Zach:  Well if that was so, I would think they would choose a city more close to Olathe, not a city about 140 miles away.  Olathe is about 60 miles East of Topeka while Junction City is about 60 West.  Also, I don't know how long we have had the unit, but a statement put out by cox says the channel would go into effect "On or After May 18th."

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / Weatherscan Problems for Topeka, KS Unit
« on: May 24, 2010, 04:21:15 PM »
I don't know much information except that the Weatherscan Unit is for Cox Communications in Topeka, KS.  It is on Channel 270.
There is a city incorrectly labled.  In the top ticker, it shows "Olathe" for the City of Junction City.  The two cities are very far apart.  Here is a picture.

Also, the "Estimated Precip" "Precip Forecast" and "Palmer Drought Severity" show up "Temporary Unavailable" and have been all day.  Also, the Doppler Radar shows "Temporary Unavailable" for Topeka and Manhattan, but not for for Junction City (Incorrectly stated "Olathe" in the top city ticker)

Weatherscan Discussion / Finally!
« on: May 24, 2010, 04:13:01 PM »
Sorry if this isn't the correct place for this topic, I'm kind of new (Used to visit TWCC all the time, but havn't in a while, so this new bored is very new to me)
After years of trying to get weatherscan on the Cox Cable System in Topeka, KS...it's here!!  I was flipping through channels today being bored and what do I see?  Weatherscan!!  Here's a few snap shots:

There are a few glithches though...the Estimated Precip, Precip Forecast, and Drought Severity under the Garden Section show "Unavalible"...and the local doppler radar for Topeka and Junction City won't show up, but it will for Manhattan.
Also, on the top ticker, where it shows cities, "Junction City" is incorrectly labled "Olathe"

Is there a way I can report this?  Does TWC STAR TEAM still come around these parts?  Other than those minor glithces, I am enjoying WS!!
