Well, that's a true shame. I remember watching her on TWC as far back as 1991 on overnights. She always was professional while on the air.

« on: April 04, 2015, 02:39:29 PM »TWC is such a disappointment! There were Tornado Warnings in Georgia and Eastern Alabama. What did TWC do?I thought they had broke into programming a few times. I remember seeing Carl Parker going through the radars on the air as a possible tornado crossed into Georgia.
I think it speaks for itself. All taken at the same time.

Just an update. Mr. Simpson took a plea deal on January 20th - 180 days in jail, 177 suspended - the three days were covered by a 30-day treatment program. He also had to pay $475 for the fine and court costs.
Misdemeanor OVI charge, and no stop sign violation....provided there is no additional OVIs in the next five years. Two years probation and license suspended for a year starting the day of the crash.
He resigned from his position as Chief Meteorologist on February 9th.

He was a fellow Buckeye, too. 
He was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy in November 2014,
This was after he suddenly lost his vision and then went to the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD to find out why he lost his vision. They diagnosed him within three days where other labs couldn't figure out what he had!
He worked with so many musicians on top of leading Avenue Blue.
RIP.

Seeing live weather was nice while it lasted.

The storm is over 100mi NE of Bermuda (5am ADT 10/18/14) and there are still 60-80mph winds on the island!
