IntelliStar 2 Discussion / Re: General IS2 Discussion
« on: November 02, 2014, 12:19:03 PM »
Seeing that almost everyone here now has the IntelliSTAR 2 installed at their cable headends, I'm still amazed that my local headend still has not gotten one. I doubt Charter will get an IS2 within the next year.   I guess they either can't afford to invest in one or they're just not interested in one at this time, who knows?  :dunno:

That is weird, for all Charter headends down this way have the IS2.

Put Arthur in the Gulf and he would easily blow up to a Cat. 3. That is a NICE looking storm.

I wouldn't exactly call it an outbreak. However, an EF1 did touch down in Garyville, La., in Saint James Parish. Damage was done to the Marathon refinery. No injuries reported.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Dave Schwartz Returns
« on: April 09, 2014, 05:17:22 PM »
I am honestly shocked that TWC allowed Dave to return after how things progressed just before they let him go.  The whole situation seemed irrecoverable to me, but I guess something has drastically changed.

I'm still really curious if TWC bought out Network Weather for a (relatively in TWC's eyes) small amount of money just to silence the competition.

I seriously doubt it.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Charter Communications Discussion

I can tell you they haven't done that in Washington Parish, either. Heck, they still have major outages whenever strong storms come through the area. St. Tammany Parish, yes, but I don't think all of Tangipahoa Parish is all digital yet.

I don't know if it's another STAR, but the interactive forecast isn't back yet (using the red button).
