It’s about time they update it!

Ironically, the old look still applies if I were to hit the red button to pull up the CC/EF.

Haven't been on the web site in a while.

Nice to see that this emulator will be back up soon...and will work with Windows 10!

I hope the forecast zones and observation sites have been fixed.

Now, this storm is rapidly intensifying like crazy. It jumped 20 mph in wind speed in three hours today (65 to 85 mph)...and forecast to become a Cat. 3 tomorrow evening...D A M N ! ! !

Looks like it'll be a huge problem for areas from Corpus Christi to Houston.

Pray.

This is a picture of the New Orleans skyline in late afternoon from Slidell, La. - across Lake Pontchartrain. Downtown is a good 30 miles from downtown Slidell.

I know it's not going to reach that level of insanity, but I can't help but feel a lot of nostalgia. Biggest northeast snowstorm of the season coming on March 13. Anniversary date of Superstorm 93.

Yep.

He's slowly knocking the observations sites offline.

Your Local Weather / Re: New Orleans weather

Something you don't see everyday: a large line of severe thunderstorms moved southwestward from southern Mississippi and the Northshore area of Louisiana across Lakes Pontchartrain and Maurepas and into the River Parishes and the Southshore area, causing widespread street flooding.

Even more unusual, a tornado touched down in the heart of New Orleans around 3:30 pm. It touched down at Marais and Annette streets in the 7th Ward and traveled SOUTHWESTWARD for a half-mile before lifting at North Claiborne Avenue and Saint Phillip Street in the Treme neighborhood. It was rated an EF-0 with 80 mph winds. Several homes were damaged, with three that collapsed. No injuries were reported.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Dave Schwartz Battling Cancer

Dave was my second favorite on-air guy at TWC (Cantore No. 1). I first watched him overnights in the 1990s and immediately liked his demeanor. The man was very down-to-earth and it reverberated while he was on the air. It was like being in a room with him holding a conversation as he told you what was going on and how things were happening. He definitely helped me appreciate weather a lot. His sense of humor was a plus.

There aren't many OCMs like him today so let's be thankful that we all got to enjoy him while we could.

As I suspected, it was my firewall.  :censored:

It didn't like the site's IP address and blocked it. I rectified it, so all is well.

It's simply telling me it can't connect with the site. I hope my firewall isn't acting a fool.
