Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

I noticed the red outline box on the seven day for possible severe weather.  Last time I saw it was back when Irene was going to hit us back last August.  Has it been brought back?
The red boxes only appear whenever extreme weather is prominent in your area and has to be activated by TWC manually. It's never been discontinued, but maybe nothing major has happened between now and Irene to where your area's IntelliStar would need to have the red box utilized.

Strange. We've had significant weather since Irene but I've not seen the red box on the seven day until yesterday. Thanks for the explanation.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / Star ID #24778

The past few days I've noticed that Star ID 24778 in Pittsfield, Mass. hasn't been showing.  Instead we're receiving info for North Adams - Adams.  Is our star down or are both areas being combined?

I also have a red box around Sunday on the 7 day.

**Fixed the size of the image - I posted the previous image from my cell phone full size**

These are my versions of SPC's Convective Outlook products.  I made these back when SPC was using their older maps, which were just outlines.

Looking at the radar map, I was thinking that it was Greenfield, but it appears that the dot is too far east to be Greenfield.

I noticed that when they show the enhanced version of the local forecast, the radar is missing a city.  There's a dot on the map for Greenfield, but the name is missing

Does anyone know if the IS2 has launched in any Time Warner markets?

I used to live in Hutchinson, KS.  Good to see they got the new HD local.

So basically every time TWC hires a new on air meteorologist, we can expect to see someone get bounced....

Tyler btw is having trouble getting on the site since the move. Nothing new that I have heard from him or anyone else. Slowly rolling out but its likely going to be many months before most people get it, if they get it at all. Remember too that your cable company has to actually request it.

Is that because cable companies already have the local forecast on the SD version of the TWC?  I'm hoping that Time Warner decides to get it because I like watching the HD version but I have to flip to the SD version for the local forecast.

So what makes TWC's hurricane track exclusive?
