Either way, I like the "old" flipbooks that are on the IS2 now instead of the cheezeballs on the IS and various maps used on TWC.
This is completely off topic (sorry), but I'm assuming the terms "flipbooks" and "icons" mean the same thing. I've just never heard the term "flipbook" before until Mark used it.
Yep! Sorry. lol I used to work on weather computers when I designed graphics for television and all the computers from Weather Central refer to the weather icons as flipbooks. Some of the flipbooks are 30 images played in one second, some are 60 images played in two seconds (by default). That's what gives the icon its motion i.e. rotating sun, falling rain, etc. Your explanation, Robert, was quite right! Just no apostrophe since they're not owning anything

I hope they keep the HD flipbooks the way they are until they design another set to replace the cheezeballs
