Just announced a couple hours ago, WN is now streaming online via their Facebook page (via Ustream).  You can check out the Ustream here: WeatherNation TV  and their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/WeatherNation  I figured you'd want to see!

Hey Martin and Bryan,

I just noticed that the alert page does not update as alerts are issued/updated/canceled.  My emulator still says winter weather watch when we now have a blizzard warning.  Just thought I'd let you know.

Also, is there a way to make the LDL transparent at all with an option of some sort?  That would be sweet.  PS: Where does that image come from/located??

I have noticed on the squeezeback on the SD channel (with IS) the video feed is 1/3 cutoff because it doesn't squeeze back fully.  The video isn't setup correctly so it doesn't fully squeeze to the video box provided and ends up cutting a good portion of the video from the screen.  FAIL.

I can see both sides of the argument here but the truth is that the majority of current information is shown within the first 15 seconds of the LOT8s...then hidden away until it comes around on the LDL.  I would prefer seeing rotating text at the bottom (in the wasted space between the radar and the TWC logo) with all of the data shown on the old blue LDL.  Wind direction speed/gusts, pressure, dew point, humidity, cloud ceiling, etc. since the current/forecast temps are shown in the LDL.  It doesn't have to be fancy, just text rotating much like the old 4000 or something.

I don't get why they chose Sunday night to return to live programming, either.  :dunno:

Sunday nights, at least when I worked in TV news, had the highest ratings of the week probably because people were preparing for the week ahead.  I would guess that's why they would have live programming.  Probably gives the image as to having more live content than they actually do.

Primed For Excitement Local On The 8's TV :30 Second Spot

Aired this morning during F1rst Outlook's 4:16am commercial break

OK, that looks NOTHING like the squeezeback that was in this thread. Wonder how the finished product is going to look; guess we'll just have to wait and see.

That's what the IS2 puts out on TWC-HD

Here are a few videos!  First, my IS2 had radar data issues again until the STAR Team fixed it again along with an interesting error dealing with the forecast.  Second, for those of you wondering what it sounds like below zero, enjoy the second video!  It was brisk that night.

General Weather Chat / Re: What's the weather in your area?

Here's a good one for everyone.  Last night, we here in Grand Forks bottomed out at -30° (WC of about -45°).  As for International Falls, they were a bit colder.  Take a look.

How does the IS2 narrate subzero temps? Does it read them as "minus (number)˚" like on the IS?

Correct.  It sounds funny because 90% of people say "(temp) below zero" instead of "minus (temp)" but it works.  The IS2 team needs to record Cantore again doing the teen numbers because they sound too close to other numbers: i.e. 16 sounds like 60 or 14 sounds similar to 40.

I think they produce the original image larger than what is used and the proportions are changed in the process giving it the pixelated look.  I noticed that back in the day, too.  That would be my guess.

Please add IS2 #22879 (Grand Forks, ND; Midcontinent Communications) to this glitch.  Furthermore, the regional and local radars are once again not working and showing a similar background (as before).  Thanks and keep up the great work!
