Did they get a new SA lower thirds title bar (above the red bar).

Looks like they are doing split A/B today?

I think it's safe to remove "hype" from up there...this looks like a big one.

And yes, it's 15-18 hrs before landfall, Cat 3+.

That's right! This season, "Family Feud" hosted by John O'Hurley has returned to their old theme that has aired on the series before Louie Anderson took over.
Hold everything.  They change it back later in the run.

Guess what?  They changed it in 1997 from the one that DEBUTED WITH THE SHOW in 1964.  Not controversial.

Controversial:  Jeopardy providing the questions, the contestant providing the answers.
Really? That long? I'd probably get tired of it if it were around for that long.

I'm sure the music will change back to the old 2001 theme soon. I can't see that music staying on there. There's something about it that doesn't make it "game show like," but I can't put my finger on it.
- Lack of pompous introduction
 - Light jazz-feel to theme (perfect fit for TWC)
 - Random trumpet flourishes during the close

RE:  think cue, it was on 1963-74 (original run), then 1984-1997 with the revival.

OMG why did they change the jeopardy theme music! It's a legend, They should not have changed it like the Coca Cola logo. That logo is very popular and it would be controversial to change that.

Just because I uploaded it somewhere else, the new Jeopardy! thinking cue.  The opening cut sucks, but my golly is the new think cue something good.  Sounds like they ripped it straight from a live band during a 50s game (yes, they had live bands play live music for LIVE games in the 50s).

Local Forecast / Re: New Album - I Need Your Help
« on: September 08, 2008, 05:46:16 PM »
I can't believe a record label won't take a chance on someone who's music is played on the Weather Channel...what I'd assume is the top tier for jazz artists.  And especially for someone who's work has been on there repeatedly over the last several years...

Hey gang, thanks for the positive notes.  This will eventually be for a college project.

And yes, it is real time, using the RSS feed from the NWS.

I need some help from you guys now, though.

  • In the icons on TWC's website, can someone list for me, in numerical order, which icon goes with which description?
  • Does anyone know where I can get forecasts in a readily readable format (preferably RSS)?

An updated look should come soon.  I might also put up a 3000 version (that was the intent first, before Martin got a hold of these files).

As a matter of fact, an updated version is now up.

Round three, and we start with Ike as a cat 4 nearing Cuba.  The Walker/Davis combo to play first.

Same rules apply as the other two threads.

(And yeah, this looks like a Storm Alert activator.  Twice maybe (the Keys/the Gulf).)

Edited to remove "hype" since this is da real deal.
