Guess I'm fortunate.  No request for things, no one steals any of my videos (even my game show ones).  Guess I'm a boring person....

No, because I don't want to open any links without people describing it. It could contain spam and viruses

Why the hell would anyone here post spam or viruses?
And if *I* was going to do that, I would have embedded a virus in the main site's HTML files, because I'm that damn good.

(I didn't.)

No WeatherScan, no Wx+.  What is the NBC affil has a radar image with NOAA Wx Radio audio.

WSBT has a weather channel tht could be a good model for a combo of the two; maybe I can get a clip.

crude oil back up to $97.09 a Barrel due to Hurricane's Gustav & Ike Ripple effects keeping 97% of Oil refineries shut down on the Gulf Coast and Reformulated gasoline up around 2 cents to $2.4241 due to the same problem and the effects of a Nigeria Attack on pipelines in that country also Oil Stockpiles fell another dramatic 6.3 million barrels.
No, I'm pretty sure today was an uptick day after many days of selling.  A needed solid uptick in the general fall.

Just heard on the news that the government has bailed AIG out. Another financial giant has fallen.
From what I've gathered, AIG's situation is bizarre.  Their insurance arm is still very strong, but it's their mortage-securities arm that's bringing them down hard.  And apparently it's not a true government bailout...they are the only ones who have to pay it back (in return they get control back based on percentage).  JPMorgan got money for "saving" Bear Stearns they didn't have to repay.  Fannie and Freddie were straight-up bought out by the government.

I have a feeling that we need to see the Dow under 10,000 before a correction starts.

Still trading, oil had briefly touched UNDER $90 today.  That would be a $10 drop in two days.

Reformulated gasoline (the raw product from the refinery) is down to $2.48 at last check.  That should equate to $3.00-$3.10 on average if everything was working as normal.

Gonna open one up on this topic since it's a biggie.

Frankly, this is the first time in 10+ years I've been watching the stock market I've truly been scared about what could happen.  The falls of Bear Stearns, Leahman Bros, the buyout of Merrill Lynch, and AIG's potential bankrupcy has be really worried about the financial state of the country.

Your thoughts?
