Many of us hear most of the EAS messages from radio stations that are responsible for EAS activation such as WGN-AM in Chicago and WBAP-AM in Dallas/Fort Worth.

When you turn 18, are you required to do jury duty when they ask?

If you're registered to vote.

I think that's how it is in the State of Texas.

  :wow:

That's probably the case with a few cable companies that still have the 4000.

General Discussion / Guess Who Has Jury Duty?
« on: August 07, 2008, 10:43:00 PM »
Me! I just got the Jury Summons via mail a few weeks ago from Dallas County and was told to make a call on August 11th. I may be needed...then again I may not, but I will get reimbursed for my services. Hopefully, this will be a short case, but then again with some commotion and disorderly conduct caused by the defendants, Jury Duty may not be so boring after all. Wish me the best of luck.

I would love to see all Trammel songs used as overnight playlists.

With that being said, I've flipped it over to "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on ABC Family.

Everything Else TWC / Re: The TWC Icons Discussion Thread

One thing that puzzles me is on weather.com, whenever my area's forecasted for "Thundershowers", why do we see the "Showers" icon?

Actually "gaviotas" was used previously. It wasnt titled as such when it aired in December 2007. It was known as "Follow Your Heart" from Dec 2007

I was gonna say: even if it did air on TWC, it was given an alternate title.

I've never heard it on TWC before. Do you which of my videos is "Gaviotas"?

No, but after looking through the playlist, I've identified that familiar clip through amazon.com.

Click here then click on the "Play" button next to "Gaviotas" then you'll hear a 30-second sample.

Heard "Gaviotas" by Patrick Yandall this month.

I think this was carried over from the February 2008 playlist.

Luckily, I didn't have to go through the same situation you did. Though there was one time 10 years ago when my favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons were interrupted by the EAS followed by an Amber Alert.

Although some of the EAS notifications do not apply to my area, I still like to be in the know of where the storm is heading, which county is declared a disaster area, etc.

There are a few songs on this playlist that I liked, one of 'em is "Metropolis" by Chris Geith.
