Dish Network too?
Yeah, but unlike DirecTV you have to manually see the LFs.

It does look like a PowerPoint presentation. Not a bad start for the DirecTV LF's, though they could've made them longer.

Will there be a cable intellistar for satellite tv companies within the next 5 years?
DirecTV and Dish Network already have their own versions of the local forecasts, but if it's perfected in those 5 years, it's a possibility.

All of the Chris Geith songs since July sound exactly the same (and as if they were recorded 15 years ago). <_<
I'm not a huge fan of Chris Geith's music. I like Metropolis, and those new songs airing this month though.
The only Chris Geith song I like out of all those from June 2008 to this day is "Metropolis".

General Discussion / Error-prone Detroit police crime lab shut down
« on: September 25, 2008, 04:34:17 PM »
By COREY WILLIAMS, Associated Press Writer

DETROIT - Officials have shut down the Detroit police crime lab because of errors found in evidence from shooting cases.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced Thursday that Mayor Ken Cockrel Jr. and Police Chief James Barren have closed the lab.

Worthy says Michigan State Police have found erroneous or false findings in 10 percent of 200 random cases. She says the lab was temporarily closed this spring after errors were found in evidence from a double slaying.

Here's my take on the Traffic Pulse segment. (Note: All incidents are simulated, however, a DART bus WAS on fire on February 2007.)

All known material is property of TWC. Display and window panes courtesy of Martin, LDL courtesy of Billy.

My household has 5 cats.

They should've made the current IntelliStars to look like that!

Anyways, it's about time that a Satellite TV company has started something like this. This may give hotels/suites that do cable by DirecTV an advantage.

This is gonna be interesting.

Who listens to the radio anymore, anyway?

Something has to go Tyler-either you or your hostility. Choose. I'd prefer the hostility, but it seems to be an integral part of the package.

I wasn't being hostile. I was being serious. Who listens to the radio this day in age, when you have a wide-array of on-demand music options (iPods, MP3 players, services like Napster and Rhapsody, and even the CD)?
That's true Tyler, but we DO need terrestrial radio as emergency back-up.
