Everything Else TWC / Re: Sun Outage Period Beginning
« on: October 07, 2008, 12:44:18 AM »
As mentioned on the Satellite LF sightings topic in the "Local Forecast" section, TWC in my area shorted out at 4:07PM CT then 2 minutes later, TWC reappeared. So that's probably it. But what I don't get is that how come the other channels are unaffected?

If your CD makes it to air on TWC, I see a future LF artist on these boards. B)

TWC went black around 4:07PM CT, then 2 minutes later the satellite LF appeared in my area.

This is odd... at some point last week, the retired-22434 (New Kensington headend) was brought back! This area had been seeing 22420 since mid-2006! Wonder what made Comcast bring it back all of a sudden?

I should also note that this STAR has been reconfigured since it was decommissioned. It still serves the same area, but has a different metro map, as well as different radar cities. The forecast title is now "ALLEGHENY VALLEY AREA" as well.
Could this mean that IntelliStar #22107 serving the Irving-Grapevine-Coppell areas be brought back into commission? Would be nice though.

Here's my take on the 7-Day Outlook with the new Blue Bar. Yeah, I know the text on the IntelliStar should be black on this drawing, but to be honest, I like the dark blue text better. All weather data is entered as of 10:08M CDT October 6, 2008.

All known material is property of TWC. Templates and LDL courtesy of Martin.

Here's what will happen if the IntelliStar was updated to include an Event/Concert slide (this simulates the weather data on October 27, 2007):

All known material is property of TWC. Templates courtesy of Martin, and LDL courtesy of Billy.

Additionally: Maroon 5 and The Hives--kind of an odd pairing for a 2007 tour considering Maroon 5 plays Adult Alternative and The Hives play Punk Rock. They're 2 of my favorite groups though. :twothumbs: I was at a Halloween Party the same night the concert took place.
