Here's what I got:

 - A brand new Argus Digital Camera
 - Coca-Cola Lawn Chair (with a built-in cooler on the armrest that holds up to 3 bottles of soda)
 - A Buzzsaw Nerf Gun
 - A Weasel Ball (first time I tried it, it has driven the cats crazy)

You know, come to think about it, I just invented a new game, Nerf Gun Bowling!

He should be happy he even got a gift this Christmas season.

I've heard that most of the Belo stations have (finally) reached an agreement...all except with WFAA-TV. If that dispute continues, the DFW Charter clusters are going down the dumpers.

I know there aren't many fans of rap/hip-hop, but I found out that a sample of Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man" was used on "1-900-LL-Cool-J" by LL Cool J.

Man, that sucks expecialy with the DTV transition comming up.

This just in (and it's gonna suck even more):

Charter In Retrans Standoff With Belo Stations

Stations in St. Louis, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Norfolk, Va., Threaten to Pull Signals Dec. 31

By Todd Spangler -- Multichannel News

Charter Communications customers may lose access to Belo Corp.'s stations in St. Louis, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Norfolk, Va., which are threatening to pull their signals after Dec. 31 in the latest year-end retransmission-consent disputes to come to light.

Belo's KMOV-TV, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis, WFAA-TV, the ABC affiliate in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and WVEC-TV (ABC) in Norfolk are notifying viewers their signals may go dark on Charter systems in those markets.

"For more than two years KMOV has been trying to reach an agreement with Charter Cable to have KMOV's signal available to Charter cable customers," Belo's St. Louis station said in a message posted to its Web site. "We have made offers, Charter has not responded. We want Channel 4 on Charter, but effective December 31st, Charter will no longer carry KMOV."

The station suggested viewers may switch to Dish Network, DirecTV or AT&T U-Verse TV to continue receiving CBS programming.

KMOV said in a newscast Friday that it was asking for 1 cent per Charter cable subscriber per day, which would total about $1.6 million a year, The St. Louis Dispatch reported. On its Web site, WFAA also claimed it is asking for "about a penny a day per subscriber."

I've heard the ever popular "Linus & Lucy" by Vince Guaraldi at the Irving Mall.

And 2 years ago, Vice Guaraldi's "Christmas Is Coming" was playing on the local James Woods auto dealer ads.

I don't mind the "Year-End Sales" ads, but the one that's overplayed is the "Year End Sell-A-Thon". 10 times per hour each station! IT'S ANNOYING!!!!

Took 15 years to get that "I like to moveit-move it" song outta my head! Thanks a lot "Year End Sell-A-Thon". <_<

I have my own Jazz Playlist too. This is a mixture of my favorite TWC and non-TWC Jazz songs.

And if that's not enough, a fellow member of TWCC has posted this article:

According to this article, Charter might not be around much longer.

For those who don't want to read the entire article...

Quote
9) Charter Communications (CHTR) has over $20 billion in debt. The cable business usually drives reasonable cash flow, but Charter has to upgrade its system to better compete with telecom companies. It does not have that money. Debt service is overwhelming operating income. Billionaire Paul Allen controls that company. The stock is down to $.15. Eighteen month ago, it was close to $5. Allen will get out while he can and sell to one of the other large cable companies. Charter recently said it is "exploring financial alternatives."

It seems Charter Communications is a 2-time loser this month.

I would love to see Comcast take over Charter if they go belly up.

In addition, Cartoon Network reduced its programming schedule for the late night "Adult Swim" block. While a few of their shows ("Family Guy", "Home Movies", "Robot Chicken" and "Space Ghost Coast To Coast") are my favorites, there are other shows ("The Boondocks", "Lucy, Daughter Of The Devil") I like to see GONE!!!!!
I haven't seen Home Movies and Space Ghost on CN in years. I used to watch them a lot. Do they still even show them, or on another channel?
"Space Ghost CTC" was shown on Cartoon Network a few months ago as part of Adult Swim's "Old School Fridays", but they replaced SGCTC's slot with the ever sacreligious "Lucy, Daughter of The Devil".

"Home Movies" is still on. The next showtimes on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim are: Wednesday-Friday 12:30AM and 4:00AM; next Tuesday-Thursday 4:30AM and Saturday 12:30AM & 4:00AM.

truTV- Limited court room coverage, with mostly reality crap (see a trend here?)
TruTV still shows a good amount of courtroom coverage during the week from 9AM-3PM, though still not nearly as much as when it used to be CourtTV. I still watch that channel a lot though. I like shows like Forensic Files, Most Shocking, Most Daring, Speeders, etc.
And don't forget "World's Dumbest". :rofl2:

If you like to see one proof of Cable TV (Charter in DFW) going downhill, see my topic "Charter Communications Suck (in Dallas/Fort Worth anyways)" topic.

1. Cartoon Network. Reason why... First off: They stopped showing all of the "good cartoons." As a result, they "rolled on their own" (probliy in refrence to to their sister network, Boomerang). Second: They keep showing all of these stupid and really boring Japanese animes. I hate anime! Third: They are airing live-action movies that are not animated and movies thats shown on either basic cable/satellite/broadcast takes away all of the good stuff. I also hate commercials!
