TWC Fan Art / Re: Michael's TWC Fan Art Portfolio
« on: March 15, 2010, 04:45:43 PM »
Man, this has been a month of changes!

Just today, KPMZ 96.7 FM in Flower Mound, TX has flipped from its "Platinum" Oldies format to a simulcast of WBAP News/Talk 820. With that in mind, I think a slight change in the radio station logo on TWC's ID page is in order. This is the HD version, too bad it's not a vid but it'll do.

The new LDL's on TWC have really spurred a bunch of ideas on ldl concepts. Here's what I came up with so far... :)

What do you all think?

I like this better than what TWC came up with.

Everything Else TWC / Re: New Graphics and Icons

I wonder what the Dust, Haze, and Smoke icons would look like on this new set...

Dust didn't exist in the 2006-2010 set, so I highly doubt it will be on this set.

Martin or Aaron- Did you happen to get that video of Stephanie showing the XL icons?

Actually it did, it also doubled as a "Smoke Icon".

This newer icon set's not too bad except for the sun ones, they look like cheeseballs. MMMM! Cheeseballs. Anyways, aren't they going in reverse with their icon set timeline? Shouldn't this newer set be the prototype ones?

It's gonna be interesting to see the graphics overhaul tomorrow. Now that I'm in the know, it won't feel like I was frozen in time for a dozen years. LOL!

Local Forecast / Re: WeatherSTAR 4000 & Jr. R.I.P. Update: FAKE

If the WS 4000 and Jr. were to be discontinued, we would've heard the news from The Weather Channel staff themselves.

I was checking TruTV's Dumb As A Blog website for some stupid crimes, and I have made a discovery: The Weather Channel's weather.com has been headlined...and not in a positive way either. Here's an excerpt of the story:
Quote from: Ritch - Dumb As A Blog
Today in "Stupid Website News" the Weather Channel.com seems to think that some of its readers are unclear about the definition of the word "place." This makes a certain amount of sense. People who are so stupid that you can actually pee on their leg and tell them that it's raining need to know the weather too, after all.

The only nitpick is that the writer said "The Weather Channel.com" instead of weather.com. Oh well.

Here's what I think the Getaway Forecast should look on all domestic IntelliStars.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Animated Icons on weather.com's Local Page

Same here. Although I didn't mind them experimenting animating web icons.

They should've at least looped the images though instead of just 5 to 20 seconds.

Everything Else TWC / Animated Icons on weather.com's Local Page
« on: January 17, 2010, 02:41:52 PM »
I don't know if anybody here has tried weather.com's revamped local page, but on the Current Conditions tab...or should I say "Today" tab, the giant web CC icons are animated! I've noticed it this morning as I was checking the conditions for this morning. I saw the fading gray streaks across the fog icon.

But don't take my word for it, click on the following link and go from 1 to 47.

http://f.imwx.com/web/common/wxicons/130/1.swf

The only icons that aren't animated (and I wish they would): are Dust/Smoke, Haze, Windy, and Sunny.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: TWC gone digital
« on: January 14, 2010, 06:20:10 AM »
Time Warner Cable has (willy nilly) made TruTV (47), ABC Family (61), and CMT (63) exclusive to digital customers. Style (50) & Oxygen (73) has gone digital as well. Not like I watch those 2 channels, but I was hoping to watch "World's Dumbest" on TruTV.
