The biggest laugh is I got that emergency radio almost 2 years ago from Toys 'R' Us. Originally it was for a friend of mine living in a boarding house in Dallas who wanted to know the weather every day. Some time in 2011, he returned it to our place fearing that some others might steal it and sell it for money and/or drugs.I also have one other radio that has "Weather Band". Although I got one NOAA broadcast from Dallas, I couldn't get the other from Fort Worth. I'm assuming that the 'WX Band' tuning is outta alignment.
There are currently seven VHF stations used for NOAA weather radio broadcasts. Older radios may have as few as four. VERY old radios will have only one.
New thought on a product for the IntelliStar..

Wow, that really sucks! He didn't die while storm-chasing, was he? I know that accidents and not the tornadoes themselves are the biggest dangers that storm chasers have to endure while heading out.No he didn't. He was heading home to Minnesota, until some wrong-way driver struck and killed him.
R.I.P. Mr. Gabrielson though.
