Eminence Front is playing on Max 98.3 FM.

On Tuesday night as I was station surfing, I also heard "Eminence Front" playing from the American Airlines Center (via ESPN 103.3 Radio) during the Dallas Mavericks' intro before the game.

So far, 91.7 KXT is the only station in the DFW area playing the full song.

General Discussion / Re: Weird TV channel I've discovered...
« on: April 07, 2012, 10:48:03 PM »
A friend of mine in Ft. Worth has Charter, I can ask her if she has something like that. But I wonder if it's a Bandwidth analyzer.

I have Time Warner Cable and the only "needless" channel we have on analog is a Test Card on Ch. 16 since they made all the Public/Educational/Government access channels available to digital customers only.

As I was watching the Dallas Stars take on the San Jose Sharks at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday Night (NHL game), I briefly heard "Magnificent Eleven" by Sam Spence during one of the play reviews.

The only other similar topic is the "Jazz Songs that Should Air on the LOT8s"...at least to my knowledge.

Anyways, from the November 2006 playlist:

 - "Tee Time", "Cadiz Sunset", and "Turn the Page" by Kenny Carr
 - Back at the Chicken Sack" by Joe Jewell Quartet

July/August 2007:

 - "Get Busy", and "Easy Street" by Spyro Gyra

So far, that's it. I may list more as I go.

General Weather Chat / Storm Sirens Sit Silent in Garland
« on: March 20, 2012, 08:00:43 AM »
Things get very scary in Garland, TX: Outdoor Warning Sirens in that city sit silent for 4 years after council quits funding repairs on the aging system (VERY stupid move if you ask me   :hammer: ). After deciding to dismantle the system years ago, city leaders reversed course. Whatever the case, it's definitely one of the many reasons why you should get a NOAA Weather Radio in your home in case outdoor siren neglect happens in your town. Then again sirens are meant to be heard outdoors.

Additionally: Yes, there are other ways to be alerted like apps for your iPad or iPhone. But not everyone can afford that kind of technology.
