That's easy: Awakened for a Tornado Warning at 1:30AM by my NOAA WX Radio receiver.

"Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz or "Wide Awake" by Katy Perry? (1st and 2nd verses do sound alike on both songs)

"Let It Rain" by Eric Clapton was played on 91.7 KXT over the weeekend. So far, it's the only station in North Texas that airs it.

Before "No More Cloudy Days" by The Eagles aired on TWC, which they just did at 3:58PM (Central), I heard it a few years back on KVIL 103.7 Lite FM via Delilah while using one of the public internet terminals at my apt's office. It was never again played after that time, so it must've been aired by Delilah per a special request.

Both of those seem like a stretch to be Trammell Starks' Fair Weather.  :dunno:
I never said it was Fair Weather, I said the same sample as Fair Weather.  ;) I have heard that drum pattern in other places too.
I also heard the "Fair Weather" drum pattern on promotions for PBS station KERA-TV 13 in the late 1990s.

« on: June 05, 2012, 02:59:31 PM »
While I've still yet to create my own icon set, I decided to fiddle around with weather.com's new android-like icons. Not sure how the "...and Windy" ones would turn out, but let's see.

DISCLAIMER: All known materials are property of The Weather Channel and TWC Interactive. They're just modified by me.

With all that's been going on at The Weather(less) Channel, logo ideas popped in my head. The first one involves cropping the current TWC logo MTV style...

...but then it would be stupid because the "W" would be shortened to an odd "V". So I went and created newer TWC Logos based on the Cartoon Network Idents. Note: Every other TWC logo has a "White" version of the bottom text.

For "Green Is Universal"/Earth Week:

And just for the heck of it, cropped them MTV-style.

Yeah, I do realize the green logo is cropped more than the blue one, but at this point, I don't care. :bleh:

I actually love the new layout. They just need to do something about their current icons. I don't think they're meant to be stretched out.

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone!!  :D B)

I had a blast today. Had me some wings at Wingstop. However, my full celebration will be this Saturday at Six Flags Over Texas...among other fun stuff later this month.

Just be glad TWC still celebrate their Milestones. MTV, although they're in their 30th year of broadcasting last summer, didn't celebrate that milestone like what they did 10 years ago. Here's why:

Quote
"MTV as a brand doesn't age with our viewers," explained Nathaniel Brown, senior vice president of communications for MTV, who confirmed that there were no plans for an on-air MTV celebration. "We are really focused on our current viewers, and our feeling was that our anniversary wasn't something that would be meaningful to them, many of whom weren't even alive in 1981."
