Local Forecast / Re: Favorite playlists of 2007
« on: January 27, 2008, 12:51:21 AM »
To be honest, I thought 2007 was a pretty bad year for LF music. I just heard the same songs over and over and over again for the course of months, such as Brighter Days. There wasn't a good variety in the playlists and some playlists just went on for months.

April 2004-June 2005 was the best LF music period IMO.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Any weather.com Gold subscribers here?
« on: January 24, 2008, 02:23:39 PM »
It's like 24.99 a year, but they offered me a discount when it was renewed and it's 14.99 this year for me this year.

You can customize the layout of your page and there are no ads. You can add up to 20 maps in the "My Maps" page, along with a doppler radar based off of Microsoft Visual Earth. This radar recently replaced an old pan/zoom radar they had on Gold before September 2007.

Everything Else TWC / Any weather.com Gold subscribers here?
« on: January 24, 2008, 02:12:18 PM »
Since there are near to no topics regarding weather.com, I thought I'd bring it up here.

Anybody here have a subscription to weather.com Gold? I do, and I think it's a pretty good service. Customized and ad-free.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Visit to The Weather Channel

Must be very lucky being right next to Stephanie Abrams. I'd love her to give me every weather forecast I need anyday. :)

Why does she look 10-20 years older in that picture?

I would have fun with the skytracker radar.
Visit their satellite local forecast area.
Tell them to scrap these terrible playlists that have been happening.

Even if I like cable and totally hate satellite TV, I like the satellite local forecast better:

I also like the XL. Old icons rock and they at least use the voiceovers correctly.

-No voiceovers. Gets annoying overtime
-Can actually listen to music

I hated those old radars they had. It was just one still image. I like radars that pan and zoom and I like them flat, not tilted back or anything.

I wouldn't mind the relaunch, as long as they:

Keep skytracker the way it is. No tilting it in 270° angles or anything like that.
Keep the SD Satellite forecast the way it is. I hate the local forecast on HD. Why does everything need to be in a window? Waste of space.
Otherwise, I'm good.

Local Forecast / July 2004 Playlist
« on: January 19, 2008, 09:18:08 PM »
Hi, I'm really looking for the July 2004 playlist. I did a search on this forum and found nothing relating to it, and out of all of the months, this is the only month TWC does not have for 2004 playlists on their site. I do know three songs from the list and that's it:

String Bean - Brian Hughes
Park Place - Samuel Lincoln
Who U Wit? - Pieces of a Dream

Also, the link on Twctoday to this playlist is broken, so I'm hoping somebody on this forum will have the July 2004 playlist.

Thanks a lot.
