General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch

Well what I want to know is how another student my age somehow transferred from a job at a movie theater in Okemos to a Hollister there. It would be nice to work there.

But yeah, I should start applying everywhere. Trouble is, I'm behind in just about everything- driving, a job, you name it. Hopefully something comes up this year. I need to start paying for the gas for my travels, and $25 every 4 days is not quite enough.

Also, it apparently took me 2 days to publish all the raw files I caught in Haslett Friday night. This is more than I have caught in 2 months.

I've noticed on a couple of my E.L. clips that there is buzzing/popping right as the LF fades in and the narration begins. Is this part of that nationwide issue that has occasionally occurred?

Apparently I'm hearing buzzing on the HD LF as well...

I am always tired now, I don't know why. Now my day consists of watching the TV, being on the computer, eating, or sleeping. What a healthy combination :P
Same here, except I do have tennis for two hours on the weekdays. I guess you can call my sleep schedule erratic, like the longform LF schedule- all over the place and wherever I feel like placing it in :P

Wow, I hope I can finally be doing a summer job or volunteer to get community service hours so I'm not at home doing nothing!
Yeah, I wish I could get a job too. Not many options paid or not paid around here, as I have found out.

Honestly, I prefer being up late and sleeping in late. Much of the action (things to do, shows on TV, people online, etc) is in the afternoon through late evening, and then it's nice to unwind during the overnight hours. I wish I could sleep in until noon :P

Is this a trick question? :P
I'll go with the XL.

2010 so far or 2009 up to this point?

Good to see you check in Stephen, glad you're keeping things up.

Sheesh, we had some ferocious weather last night. No severe weather damage, but strangely very strong wind gusts reported. Power went out briefly a few times in Haslett last night. Thank god it didn't at all in Lansing.

I'm also working on a lovely sunburn. Been irritating the heck out of me the past few days, but I really need an overall tan :P

My WinTV tuner broke all of a sudden and now it won't work anymore. :cry3: I've had a lot of good times with my tuner from May 21,2008 to June 19,2010. I guess I'm kinda screwed with the overnight clips I had on my VCR now :(
The same thing happened to me when I was up north on Saturday morning (during that Trammell outage of all times). Is it a software problem? It took me 2 hours total to get mine up and running again.

Interesting; the "Pepsi Refresh Project" came and taped a commercial in my city.  Just saw the commercial on MTV.
Hmm, that's interesting. I'd have to see it. Speaking of that, supposedly several films have been shot in Michigan lately, but I have no idea which ones they are.

Isn't it possible to put a comma like 24688, 24686?
No, Tyler has it set on a character limit.

I can't change it every last time I go back and forth. I have two separate homes. I don't see why it's such a big deal to just make it so that I can enter in two fields.

I know this isn't a popular option, but I'm one of few users who see two Intellistar units pretty much daily. Could you make it so that I can enter in both channel numbers I see it on and both IDs (either like I have had it (meaning I enter two things in one line), or through two fields)?

Also, I'm sure many of us who have TWC in both SD and HD will have both the Intellistar and the HD STAR, so maybe for the future, we could be able to select two options instead of just one?

I agree with your sentiment about the openers. Most of them are boring and don't appear to have had much go into their development. However, the new Weather Center intro is extremely catchy, and I do like the 25th anniversary music. While basic, I also like the Sunrise intro. Still sticking with a two though.

Just like you have said, I have a right to my opinion. That's how I see it. What you just said has already been said.

Quick change in subject, but Chris Warren sounds upset at something right now. :(
He seems fine to me, other than appearing "swamped" with what is going on through Michigan and Indiana right now.

Well I have both a Flash Flood Watch and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, yet only the Severe Thunderstorm Watch is showing up on my bulletins screen (22842). I've had the Flash Flood Watch since 6:00 EDT, and I checked the zone forecast for Ingham County... it shows up there.
