My favorite brand is Buffalo. In two years I went through two Linksyses, a D-Link, and a Netgear. They all had the same 'dropping the connection, not allowing connection' problems. I've been using a Buffalo for years now and I've restarted it only a half-dozen times. Most of the time is wasn't even a problem with the router.
I've never heard of that brand before. Where did you buy it?

I've never actually seen an update as it came through... so this was interesting to see.

Hey, for anyone that has the IntellISTAR, is the local forecast weather animations showign up in the 36 Hour Forecast? For some reason the STAR where I am isn't showing it. I hope TWC didn't plan on taking them out...
I wish they would, but no, it sounds like an issue with your Intellistar. I have never seen that here.

Wow, that does look neat. I haven't even had my Linksys router for a year, and it keeps going in and out (randomly disconnecting when the actual connection itself, and the modem, are fine)... sometimes several times a night. Is Belkin a better brand than linksys? I always thought Linksys was supposed to make decent routers.

Anyways, as I'm sure many of you can imagine, I'm having a hard time deleting files from before the graphics change a couple weeks ago. I've been recording on and off this past week, but I'm still unsure if I want to make room for new files or not bother to record anymore.

I've caught most of what I've wanted (Trammell, TWC outage, playlist changes, Flash Flood Warning, etc).

Local Forecast / Re: New March List?

I actually kind of like Sparks, but it's definitely not the best song on this list. "Weekend Spot" takes that spot :P
For the first week of the playlist, I kept confusing "Out of the Blue" with "Malibu", and I still haven't memorized many of the songs on the daytime and overnite lists.
Out of the Blue plays way too much and Sparks was eww the first time I heard it. Lynn Patrick style's is nothing special
Just like Patrick Droney's boring and rather annoying music, Lynn Patrick's music actually all sounds the same. It's next to impossible for me to identify each of that artist's songs.

haha oops :whistling:

I've seen that several times now, lol. I've seen the satellite LDL multiple times now, in addition to the bigger LDL cuing when the smaller one is supposed to. This new LDL thing is a mistake, no ifs, ands or butts about it.

Speaking of oopsies with the new LDL...

I don't know when this occurred, but I noticed yesterday that all the display names on the segments of my IntelliStar was simplified to "Atlanta" including the Almanac which makes absolutely no sense when the display name was previously Hartsfield-Jackson Int'l Airport where the almanac data is observed and records are kept.

Interesting how Joseph has reported this same thing on his Intellistar in the Bronx. The forecast title and even his CC site was changed to "New York", as seen in this video:

Could this mean something?

Aaron, your suggestion worked! Thank you! Just posted my recent emulation using it.
Glad I could help :)
I never was much of one to make emulations, but that was what I used long ago :P

So, how again is the STAR team going to be involved under this? Are they going to have their own section here like they do now on TWCC?
Technically they already do ;)
Well gee, I don't see it ;)

Banned for yeah, tell me about it.
Also banned for why am I the only one that refers to "Weekend Spot" as "The 2010 Fun Song"?

Banned for oh, I thought you did. You do have a lot of clips from July 2008 up though. Also thought I'd ban ya since I deleted my raw files from Saturday and Sunday before realizing that I wanted to publish clips out of them :pinch:

Banned for there are full clips of the song that haven't been touched either. Speaking of missing clips, whatever happened to your upload of "In The Know" by Jim Couchenour, from the July 2008 Overnite?
