General Discussion / Re: Commercials You Loathe

Oh gosh, I haven't seen those in years now. One ad that is really irritating to me is the ad for Al Roker... "For years, his name has been synonymous with weather"... "he's a trusted friend who tells it like it is". Lies, lies lies!

I've uploaded a couple clips of the severe weather we had here Friday evening, and I have one more to upload. I'll upload several double takes soon.

I was not aware "critized" was a word...
Also a fail on the "LIVE: BP OIL SPILL" box. Titan HD ≠ BP oil spill.
They actually switched it to the oil spill cam just a couple of seconds after I took that snapshot. But yeah, you're right.

So, TWC is promoting Father's Day, and who would the sponsor of that be? That's right, it's Bookit.com! :D

 :itsok:
Yeah, Bookit does weekends, which Father's Day obviously happens to be on  <_<

Bookit.com <_<
UGH! I hear ya on that one.  Unfortunately that tune gets stuck in my head all of the time.  Don't ya hate it when something is annoying and gets stuck in your head?
I'm totally with you there. That's why I just mute the TV when any ad is on which I was told to stay tuned to watch :P

Bookit.com <_<
Same here! When was the last weekend that they did not advertise? Oh, and what is with all these sale names they're coming up with? "You Can't Afford To Stay Home This Summer Sale" or "Family Free-For-All Sale"...

Anyone know this number? It somehow slipped into the local forecast, and I know it was not on the October playlist. I have no idea what it is.

Yeah, I just uploaded a double take of it. I love the song, but as stated above, it does not belong on any playlist that spans any daylight hours.

Hehe, they're not that bad. They're just teaching me the classic value of the dollar. I feel a little guilty making them spend over $100 every time I want to leave Lansing.

And yeah, I am not at all crazy about working around Fast Food. Too greasy, and fattening for me to even walk in the door. But you know the saying, "desperate times call for desperate measures".

Great catches, Henry. Somehow, I still have recordings from both times.

So I happened to have my tuner window up on my desktop, and noticed this...
A few seconds after that, they recentered that map as well.

Wow, I guess I'm bringing this topic up from the dead :P

I was looking through Facebook, and The Weather Channel posted a link to an article that Carl had typed about the recent up-tick in sun activity. I thought it was an interesting read myself.
