Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

For some reason, all morning and now into the afternoon, my Intellistar has been freezing for a second when it transitions from the daypart forecast to the metro forecast. Anyone else seeing this?

Banned for you should've checked twice :D
Banned for I sent you a PM on youtube about it
Banned for that's why I've told countless times that you people should not rely on me solely for song IDs. It can be fun if you try it yourself :D
If the song is unavailable, then it's certainly not on lala. I don't like iTunes, and don't want it installed on my computer. I don't particularly care for paying money to download songs I may or may not develop an interest in.

Banned for I would kill to know how I got "Trialog: Sky, Sea, and Me" by Jeanne Ricks mixed up with "All a Long" by Andre Parker... and "Going Back" by Billy Joe Walker mixed up with "Song for the Willamette" by the Saltaires. I could swear I saw identified that way, and none of them are appropriately named. Seems like they should be switched.

With all the constant visits to Sparrow, my devotion to my metro map has decayed :P
Great scene!
Thanks :)
I always love looking back across the parking garage at the sunset before I walk down the stairs

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Other than the local forecast freezing for a second as it fades from the daypart to my metro map every time, I'm not noticing anything.

On a side note, I must say this is a problem:

Banned because thats surprising!
Banned for hehe, I just said that since About 95% of the hotels in that area have satellite. I called over a dozen hotels near Warren and Sterling Heights. One of them I finally found had Comcast, until they told me they put blocks on the cable jacks <_<
Banned because when I went to Atlanta in 08 and recorded TWC from the hotel, they had cable jack blocks but I had zero issues removing them. (A strong grip and screwdriver comes in handy :D )
Banned for in the cases I have run into, hotels that have that issue have some sort of "intranet" wired to all their TVs... where you select the channels through an on-screen menu. This doesn't appear on your tuner and screw up your recordings?

Love the first two shots overlooking the city Aaron
Thanks! Though, it's better in person :P
Thats what I hate about pics. If it looks good in a pic its probably 100x better in person haha.
I know, it is incredibly frustrating. You really have to be up on top of that parking garage. It truly is a spectacular 360 view of Lansing and the E.L.

Wow, I love that intersection picture!

* Mike M sets it as desktop background

Makes me think of the 2001-2003 Evening Edition graphics with the traffic backgrounds. :)
Hehe, thanks :P
That's actually the exact same thought that came to my mind when I first saw on the camera how those pics were coming out. I was wondering why the scene looked so familiar.

What type of camera did you use to take those pics Aaron?
I believe it's a Kodak M863 (just got it for Christmas), though I didn't save much of the packaging. It takes great pics, I just have to make sure to focus properly.

Just thought I might share some pics from Sparrow again. The overcast finally cleared (ugh, 30 minutes after sunset <_< ), and I decided to check the final bits of it on the parking garage. Beautiful shots, I love looking at my city at night

A lot of red lights make for a pretty creepy scene on the parking garage. This is a view of the main tower, which sits in between the parking garage and the main hospital. Might as well be an airport with all the communication towers and lights on the top :P

Some "snowy" trees at the Sparrow Daycare Center, just across Pennsylvania from the garage :P

And you have to admit, this picture came out really nicely. This is the intersection of Pennsylvania and Michigan Avenues

Sparrow also recently changed their logo.

And left the lettering for all their old logos that were dotted about the hospital in the spot where I take my sun picture <_<

Andy, have you checked the "make channel invisble" option in your channel's settings? That may be why people can't view it.
