It's hard to choose, I actually like them all. I will, however, have to go with "Live By It" since it brings back memories of what I actually do remember- WS XL v2, Intellistar v1 and those ads where people walk through two different weather settings. I also miss that ad with the girl twirling the doll, and many others!

I know I have heard "Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes on the radio numerous times. I have also heard "Double Down" by Joe Sample (I think that is the right artist) on the local jazz station here in Lansing. I have heard many others, but I can't think of the names.

When I lived in Fort Leonard Wood, MO, there was also a WeatherSTAR 4000 with Cableamerica. I do not know if it is still in use today though. When I lived there, the current conditions at the bottom of the screen would become stuck in green about once a month.

Hmm. I didn't know that. I was there in April 2007, but I stayed in Rolla, MO, which had (or maybe still does, I don't know) Weatherstar XL.

TWC should have asked the opinions of their viewers, since they are a business solely there to provide to the consumers.

The Weather Channel's not obligated to do so. As Martin said it best:

The average person, 99.9999% of TWC viewers could care less about what the icon is. They are there for the weather.

Now I want them to use the old icons as much as you do, Aaron, it's just, unfortunately, not going to happen. You also have to take into consideration, that we are only part of a minority of people. I'm not trying to be mean in any way.

For some reason people seem to have a hard time grasping that fact. I can't tell you how many times I've brought it up. 

Well, I will admit to you that I too have a hard time grasping that. It just is how it is. I can't and refuse to accept it, which is why it remains a problem.
