« on: March 27, 2009, 07:03:44 PM »
No LDL right now as of 7:01 ET.
This is bizzarre. Why twice in one day (not that it is a problem to me :P )?
Today is the first day I have ever seen the blank station ID!

Yet again at 6:58 PM EDT (Yes that's PM, it also happened at 5:58 AM EDT too), with another blank station ID!
Could we be heading into a major outage?  :dunno:

Darn, I guess you beat me to it Billy

Man, I can't even begin to describe how jealous I am of this. Apparently, a tornado was just spotted crossing the I-95 corridor (streaming live on TWC as we speak) in North Carolina, and the same area that just got Flash Flooding in Louisiana and Mississippi are under the gun for tornadoes. Even in Oklahoma, there is the significant risk for tornadoes and a raging blizzard in the same state!

Programming and Graphics / Re: Why I Love Spring Week is coming
« on: March 27, 2009, 06:43:46 PM »
I recorded a Why I Love Spring special (60 seconds or so) with the LDL cueing and then dissappearing 2 seconds later. I wonder if I should publish it instead of deleting it...

I am 18, and I never took driver's ed. I guess after 18, either someone shows you how to drive, or you have to go to a driving school where you have to pay about $200 a course. My parents refuse to show me how to drive. <_< <_<
I have the same problem  <_<
Hopefully though, I will begin taking Driver's Ed this year and have my license sometime early next year. I will most likely have taken Driver's Ed and have my license by the time I turn 18 :)

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Vivian Brown
« on: March 27, 2009, 06:38:32 PM »
Vivian is an okay meteorologist. The first time I saw her was when she came back from her maternity leave in 2003 (or 2004?), and she worked with Jeff Morrow.
I too think she is okay, but I thought I'd start a thread since none exist. My mom and I were wondering if she could be pregnant again.......

The user has recently (and I do mean recently) posted some Intellistar clips from Peoria, IL from April 2007. I sure wish I could have some more to post, but I have already posted all I have. Anyway, here are all the songs uploaded that have not been identified:

And ESPECIALLY this one!

Cats are good until they start urinating on the basement floor, and you take them to the vet, try what they say, and it still doesn't stop.  I prefer dogs because they're more trainable, but everyone prefers their own, and I understand why some like cats.
I can say that my cat has never done ANYTHING like that. It's important to remember, that all animals are individual, just as people are individual. Also, there are different "quirks" or problems associated with the various breeds, as I'm sure is the case with dogs too.

Agreed with Gil.    Every cat is different and it has their own special ways. Same with dogs.
I'll buy that too. I prefer cats over dogs, especially because of the Great Dane we have, but I would be okay with a medium sized dog, since I like to walk dogs every now and then  I have two cats, and I hav had them both since shortly after the May 2007 Vocal Nite.  :)

General Weather Chat / Re: Record Flooding In North Dakota
« on: March 27, 2009, 08:44:41 AM »
I am so sorry to hear about this, and I can only offer my condolences and support to those people who are working to put sandbags up in hopes of blocking the floodwaters, and to those who are losing everything. I have never been through a flood, but I do know what it is like to lose everything and again, I wish them only the best of luck. Fortunately, we all knew this was coming and they could begin preparing early.

Local Forecast / Re: Local on the 8's HD
« on: March 27, 2009, 08:34:27 AM »
I do not believe the look of the HDLF has changed much yet, last time Eltiempo10 saw it was December I believe. I agree. It looks cool, but it really detracts fro mthe info. AFAIK they are planning to have a current conditions screen and an LDL, most likely with narrations. GIVE ME THE 2003-2005 GRAPHICS PACKAGE!!!! THOSE WORKED FINE AND DONT LOOK OLD AT ALL!!!!!
it cant be any worse than what the IntelliCrap(formerly the fine with me Intellistar, before Oct. 07) is now  <_<....or can it?
I agree 100%!   Also, My thoughts about the HD star have changed. I formerly thought that the HD star would be WORSE than the current Intellistar, but things have changed. I still have to see the HD star myself, and I hope to get Verizon FiOS with TWC [HD] sometime in the next 10 to 14 months.  :)

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: AT&T U-Verse?
« on: March 27, 2009, 08:31:15 AM »
(sigh) I'd be on U-Verse right now, if my dad wasn't such an idiot to get roped into "free movie channels for 6 months" with Comcast.

Anything to save a buck...
Yeah, it is weird how Comcast sucks people into a "good" deal...
We hope to switch to Verizon FiOS in the next year, and will switch internet as well as phone providers in that time frame as well.
