About 1 or 2 seconds of satellite before the Intellistar cued in at 10:08 AM EDT, and the LF ended late.

One of the most useful Firefox extensions I've come across! It's called FoxClocks....
I don't like Firefox very much. I use Internet Explorer for the same reason I bought a Windows PC with my lawn mowing money in 2007 as opposed to a Mac PC: It is just what I have grown up with and am used to. I think Firefox looks pretty primitive, like the new graphics on the Intellistar or the old WS 4000 graphics (those WS 4000 graphics however, I do not hate). I won't use Safari either. No offense intended, just my 2¢

Apparently, a new LOT8's intro was released just this morning. It is great video of hail coming down in what looks like a farm yard.

Child boo.
That's not funny. <_<

Exactly. No one is laughing. Not even me.
I think we can all agree, just ignore it and don't respond to it at all. That is the best idea.

Thank you. And yes my name is Ana. You got that right! :D
Yeah same here, ever since 8th grade I got the nickname "weathergirl" because I always tell my friends what the weather would be for the next day. I guess I might use that nickname again. But, that is one reason why I got the name "Anistorm"!

 Steph has an Iphone???? I wish too!
Wow, only 8th grade? I have been asked about the weather for as long as I can remember. I remember in 2nd and 3rd grade being asked by my teachers and even some students for the weather, and one time I decided I wasn't going to do it anymore (at the time :P ). I can't remember how I became interested with the weather or TWC, but I know it has been a very long time, quite possibly since before I started kindergarten.

Yes, Mike Bettes showed a picture Steph took of some hail at 9:00 PM EDT, and said that it was a picture taken with her I-Phone... O_o

That's awesome, Ana (I think that is your name)!  :thrilled:

I get a lot of that too. A lot of people rely on me at school for the weather. It is kind of nice, although I find it embarrassing for EVERYONE to know I am so into weather.......

I guess Steph has an i-Phone...
I sure wish I could!

An EnV2 is nice enough though, if only I could text on it...

I don't like it that FiOS is not available in my area, but it's available three neighborhoods down.
Yeah, I just heard that a couple has it out in Grand Ledge, just a few miles over M-43/Saginaw Road west of Lansing. It is apparently available in some locations in Michigan, but not in Lansing yet. When it does become available though (it is coming to MI, so hopefully I can get it within the next year or so), we will not hesitate one bit to get it. If there was another option beside Comcast out there (that is not satellite or AT&T), we would jump on it in a hurry.

I love to travel, and since I now have a TV tuner, it is a lot easier to catch videos of whatever Star system I see. There are plenty of XL's left in northern Michigan, and I do consider myself lucky for that

I hope to eventually catch video of the Weatherstar 4000.

Anyway, here is a thread I thought I would start to share my videos!

That precip indicator from Truepoint must have been glitching up or it's not that accurate, it said I picked up 1.36 in. then it said 1.34 in. how do you lose precip that you already gained?
Also, my Intellistar is guessing 1.73" for the month of April. Yesterday, it guessed 1.68". Lansing has seen some nice sunny weather over the past couple of days, and not a drop has fallen (and definitely not 0.05"). The airport, which is less than 5 miles away from me, has an official reading of 1.61", and has not changed since the 6th.

This is just plain stupid, as all local information has become far too local and is now just completely computer guesses. Nothing beats the real thing (actual, not computer guessed, observations). Plus, some Intellistars serve pretty big areas. Mine does not serve as big an area as some other Intellistar units, but it does serve a pretty large one. All kinds of factors play in to precip amounts, including local demographics, and where thunderstorms track. I know here in Lansing, I-496, which goes straight through Lansing, is basically the dividing line for everything. People south of I-496 can get thunderstorms and pouring rain while those of us north of R.E. Olds Freeway get nothing. While this is the problem that the Intellistar is trying to solve, it does a poor job at it, that is for sure.

I don't really mind betty and nicole..i think carl parker and vivian brown need to go too!!  :club:

as far as i know, carl and vivan are pretty popular here. i personally like carl, vivan is ok.
Get rid of my favorite, Nicole???  NO way.

She has the brains, experience, Hurricane Hunter experience, and not bad to look at at all.

Definitely an asset to TWC.

Regards.

I definitely agree about Samantha Mohr...she needs to go!!!!! :hammer:
I agree with you. I also want the other two that I hate (Betty and Nicole) to go already.

I agree 100% with both statements. Carl is great since he share facts randomly that I never knew before. Vivian is ok, and yes, Nicole is an asset to TWC.
