Well, 'False'point (as I like to call it) is now guessing I have received 2.58" of precipitation this month, when it said 2.63" just a few minutes ago.

How often does 'False'point update? Once a day around midnight like the legitament observations are done, or is it instaneous?

Speaking of ad crawls, I've seen IntelliStars in the area (pretty much all along interior South Jersey) showing ads about a cigar shop in the area, and has for years. Isn't it illegal to advertise tobacco products?
Well, it must not be if it has been allowed to be on the ad crawl for all those years. Unfortuately, there is nothing you can do about the ad crawls

1) The text was never enlarged.

2) Missing ad crawls aren't a problem. It may of been your headend's decision to pull them (for whatever reason).
Okay. It was just one of those feelings where something seems off and I am not sure what is not normal or out of place.

Well, it is still a mystery to me as to why the ad crawl was pulled then. Perhaps I should call and ask them why, but then again, I most likely won't reach my actal cable office and it is not a problem to me anyway. :itsok:

Well, I have made a strange discovery today. The ad crawl is STILL missing on my Intellistar, but at school today (I go to school at Haslett, which gets the East Lansing headend), I noticed the ad crawl displayed there, so I assumed it came back. However, it is still missing in Lansing. I wonder if any other Intellistar units are doing this, or if it is just mine acting up again?  :dunno:

I also saw two new LF intros today.  One of them was a modified version of an intro from last year I was looking for!  :thrilled:
I will edit my montage and re-upload it as soon as I see another new one, since my rule is to update it once I get 3 new intros to add to it :)

Hmm, not sure I want to.......

I would be a lot more careful of something like that if I had a laptop.......

It appears as though there is yet another new intro. It is the same one going through the clouds as we saw last fall and again in March, but set to different music. I just saw a part of it, but not the whole thing since it was cut off.

Notice the size of the text expecially in the CC.
You talking about the domestic Istar?
Yes I am. I have been scanning the LF for changes, and the text on the front page CC as well as the 8 city 'guesses' page (both city and temp) and the text on the text based forecast seem larger to me.

...and at the same time, they launched this new logo for the satellite STARs:

Hmm, interesting, I think I like that one
So, did they actually enlarge all the text? And why isn't the ad crawl displaying (not that that is a hue problem to me, but it is strange and there must be a reason behind its lack of presence)

I think I have an idea as to what happened.......

It seems to me as though the text in the LF was enlarged as an update was made to the Intellistar. Notice the size of the text expecially in the CC.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Another Green is Universal Week next week
« on: April 13, 2009, 05:28:03 PM »
Well, one thing is for sure:
TWC is going crazy with the advertisements for it, with, I counted, 7 times that the Green is Universal Week ad appeared on my Local Forecast. They have also doled out a new intro for it, which is playing almost non-stop LF after LF.

I sure hope they still end up playing those Earth Day promos like they did in 2007 and 2008, as I want to catch another one (I already hav the 2007 one though).
