I think it's just a test. It seems they're going to make it permanent. I wish regular jazz was back, soundtrack and chill sounds awkward on TWC.
I actually like what TWC is doing with their playlists now. As long as there is at least some jazz on there like there is now, I'm happy.
I feel the exact same way. The same old music for years on end does getboring, and if they add genres in that appeal to other people, they may get some new viewers as well

Everything Else TWC / Re: New slogan for The Weather Channel?
« on: May 15, 2009, 07:33:47 AM »
No one owns the weather, and it can easily make the best of us look like idiots.  In reality, the weather owns us! :bleh:
Which is why I loved Live By It so much. Fit the weather and TWC perfectly.
Agreed. I miss the Live By It era so much! :cry3:
Me too. I also miss the "Weather You Can Always Turn To" era.
That was over before I really knew TWC. I certainly don't remember it  :hmm:

Oh man, I very rarely am able to watch YWT, so I won't be seeing A&B much anymore. :(
Yeah, I have the same problem. I always leave for school around 7:00 AM ET, and I hardly ever watch it when I don't have school anyway.

Nice clips!

I have about a dozen more I'm gonna put up throughout the week.
I really have a thing for traffic data, so I am going nuts over these videos  :bleh:

I'd have to get up early to see Abrams & Bettes. I'm on the west coast.
Definitely one of the advantages of living in ET!

This is the major change from what I'm seeing.... Good? Bad? Discuss!

WOW, I wasn't expecting something like this! :o

EDIT: Wait a minute, if A&B end up hosting YWT, then I wonder what will happen to Nicole,Kevin, and Jim......

Okay, several things just are not adding up here. I thought Stephanie was going to anchor "Wake Up With Al" down in the studio in the ATL. And also, what is going to happen to WC (coughs), the former A&B?

Our schools use surfcontrol, but sometimes that doesn't work, one time i found a picture of a wooded lake area I was going to use for a writing project, then when I clicked on it, I got taken to an ad site where it said FREE PORN BY E-MAIL, any way, on ALL of our schools computers you can't right-click on the taskbar, you can't access the display properties (which sucks when you have computers that's resolution are 800x600 from full-screen programs), as well as you can't open the window that shows the current devices connected when you right-click the "Safely remove hardware" notification Icon.
Yeah, they don't want students messing with settings, even though you would probably only affect the settings in your login. I am looking at buying a laptop later this year. I am also considering buying an Internet card with a subscription service from a provider (AT&T or Verizon, most likely) to avoid this whole blocking mess.

Did you even bother listening to the entire piece?  :whistling: The instrumental cut is at ~3:16.
Yes, I did! I do see that the instrumental part starts at 3:16, but it has more of a violin sound added to it, and only lasts for 20 seconds. Not a big deal, I was just looking for the album since I noticed that we have a scratched up Phish CD in the garage when I was cleaning it a couple months back.
Heh that's odd. I think you need to make a lala account to hear the full song or something but it should work.
Okay, I see the instrumental piece in the link you gave me. Now that I listn to that song, I realize I must have downloaded a shortened version off of Isohunt (BitTorrents). Thanks for the link, I really like this song!

I agreed about school computers Being useless. My school blocked this website for a reason. <_<
You mean TWC Today? That to me sounds stupid.  :nono:
I am the only person at my school (of about 975+ people total) who knows about the site, so it will never be blocked for me.

Well, I just downloaded the full version of the album "Hoist" by Phish, which includes "If I Could". I found the vocal version, and it is a nice song! I am not sure where to get the instrumental version TWC uses though. :dunno:

It's used in the album "Live Phish". You can find it here in the first result:
http://www.lala.com/#search/if%20i%20could%20phish

That's also the vocal version. On the Isohunt website, it was labelled "Hoist", and that is what it says on my computer as well.

Oh, don't even get me started about school blocks. A lot of times, I have interesting vdeos that I post to youtube, that I also want to show people at school, and I end up having to upload the video to my photobucket account or bring in a DVD with the video.

Most of the proxy sites themselves have been blocked. This is still a new thing to me, as I have only known about it since mid-April. The only proxy site that I know of is http://www.francesgites.com/, but that won't load for some reason at my school. It tells me that the connecton to the server has "timed out". I do not believe the site has been blocked yet, but could be on the verge of that.
