I wish school was over already. <_<
So do I! I am SO tired of tests, unnecessary asignments (book report in Economics class), etc.......

I looked at that new beta deisgn for my channel, and I don't really like it. I like how the information is organized on my channel as it is, and the beta design looks unorganized and far too complicated to me.

TWC and your Cable Company / Lansing Intellistar Act-Ups
« on: May 26, 2009, 03:07:18 PM »
I am starting a topic here to post every time something goes wrong with the Lansing or E.L. units. My unit does seem to act up a lot (at least once a month), as I have probably made it known.

Dont ever call your cable provider to get a STAR fixed  They wont do squat. Call STAR support

Highly doubt its the graphics card
I did end up calling them twice, and I guess I did not need to. I came back yesterday from Grayling and found everything working properly.

Anyway, how would I contact STAR support? Since the Lansing/E.L. units seem to act up like this once a month, that would be useful information.

Also, this was the first time I know of that the Lansing and E.L. units did not goof up together

I'm sooooooooo sick of hearing about the June 12 switch to digital.
Me too, but think of it this way: June 12th is only 17 days away. After about 3 weeks from now, you won't hear about it

Does anyone know of a GOOD free online backup service? My computer is running low of memory space and I'd like to delete and back up all my videos that were from 2008. I've tried ADrive, the site is confusing. I just want a personal service, not a sharing site

I understand it may not be possible, but you really should consider getting an external hard drive. The videos I have and things I do on the external hard drive I bought back in November could never be possible on my main hard drive.

Hey guys, I was the one that found the LaGrange 4000. I last saw it 1 or 2 summers ago with my dad when we were out there doing work. At the time, they had a local cable company that got replaced by Windstream. Hopefully sometime I'll be able to go back out there and see if they still have it.
I am going on a hunt for a 4000 unit next month, and I was considering LaGrange, OH, but there are not many hotels there.

Is this a glitch, or is there really an interstate in the middle of the ocean?

Oh that has to be a glitch. I have never heard of that one though.......

There is no narration in the 1 min lfs for the XLs. It's standard for them.
Don't you notice the different flavor though? This is not how the 1 minute was the last tme I was in this headend's area
I am not completely positive, but I believe that's the way the one-minute XL flavor has always acted when a Weather Bulletin was displayed. The normal one-minute flavor has a 24-Hour Text-based forecast, but since the Weather Bulletin is displayed, there's not enough time for the full text forecast, so the Daypart Forecast is used instead.
You may actually be right. I noticed the 11:08 PM EDT LF was normal as well.
