Here I am, in Mio, MI, about 40 miles to the SW of Alpena using the public library's internet through my laptop. My dad's car has been having trouble with the thermostat and the coolant for the past week or so. It got to the point where it would not run today, and nearly shut off while we were right on M-72 going at a mile a minute (60 mph). My dad has an appointment at a car repair shop tomorrow. Please wish us luck as we try to go back to Lansing.

Sorry about the car trouble. Since you're there, see if you can see if Mio has a XL.  Have a safe trip back to Lansing.

Thanks Christina! I made it back safely without any problems, though we had to have the heat up all the way the whole way home to draw heat off the engine to prevent further problems and possible damage. I was checking in from the Oscoda County Library, and I could not access any TV, sorry

I am up in Alpena, MI tonite. I notice that this Intellistar (ID 23855) has two different regional maps, with different cities on the Current Conditions regional map than there is on the Forecast regional map. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I will post a video some time after 11 PM when long form is over.

No but I've seen an IntelliStar up in the NYC area that had a different metro CC map than the forecast map (there was one city on the CC map that wasn't on the forecast map). There were many XL's (mine wasn't one of them) that were also like this during the first few years of its run.

Ah, okay. It still sounds unusual for this deal with the regional map here. I didn't know the XL once did show CC on the regional map, since I haven't seen it on any of the XL's I have seen

I am having trouble contemplating why Alpena, MI has Intellistar in my pants.

Maybe the cable provider for that area didn't want to pay to keep an XL imp, the XL is the most expensive STAR Unit still in use today imp. IntelliStar units are much cheaper imp.

Nah, I wouldn't imagine that is the reason why, in my pants. I also can't understand why the "guess" site is "Downtown Alpena" when the airport is not even 2 miles west of town, in my pants!

I was up in Bad Axe this weekend (now in Alpena) and I recorded every playlist on the XL there in the thumb. Instead of recording every song I see, I am taking requests as to which songs to upload. Anyone have any requests? I will take PMs, replies to this post, or comments on my channel.

I have passed over 72 hours of eye surgery recovery and my eyes are about cured of dry eye. I have to go back monday for another check up. My vision is getting better. I'm still being limited in how much time I am online so I won't be on that much on the forums this weekend. I can see the keyboard, but I have to be close to the screen to read all the posts (imagine: 30 post replies and 200 tweets since wednesday!  ) I missed everyone!!!

Ana, I certainly hope it goes well for you. I can't imagine it was a fun ordeal, but you sound like you are recovering well. I am still recovering from my wisdom teeth removal last Tuesday as well. It is still difficult to eat harder things (at this point, subs for example). I have a check up appointment with my oral surgeon tomorrow afternoon as well.

I am in Alpena tonite, and I am having a huge deal of trouble figuring out why this northeastern Michigan area has an Intellistar unit. Sparsely populated, no building that is more than 3 stories high (only 2 or 3 that I saw including the hospital).
