* Zach sighs

And apparently playing "Spot the Fail" makes Tyler upset for some odd reason.
You're telling me  <_<
NEVER a good idea to pair someone who is as much against HiRAD as it gets with someone who actually supports it.

Must we have another fight in this thread? This will be two in one week.
I'm not exactly happy about it either. I am just playing (as Ana calls it) spot the fail.

If you're not trying to prove it's wrong, then why complain?

There you go again Tyler, interpreting the wrong way that I am complaining. I was proving the guess for Owosso wrong.

If it's never accurate, then HiRAD for Owosso can never be accurate.

And why circle Hastings then?
I don't know, I was just pointing out that is chilly for even my area this time of year. I was not trying to prove that reading inaccurate, though I still don't trust it.

I don't know what you're trying to say. NWS says it's 68 and partly cloudy in Owosso, and it's 63 and cloudy at Fitch Beach Airport near Hastings.
I didn't say that reading for Hastings is wrong. I'm not that crazy about the airport in Owosso; it is hardly ever accurate. Doppler radar shows a spec of precip over Owosso anyway. With a cloudy set-up like the one today, there is no way it can be cloudy here and in Flint, but nearly sunny halfway in between

Again, I am trying to make that point. HiRAD did not update between the two pictures, so the same data that is shown in the second image was used to make the inaccurate guess on the first image.

I hate to start an argument but anyone care to call this HiRAD normal-cy?
Spot the fail!

I know these two images were not taken at the exact same time, but HiRAD does not update in the time between these two images.
Actually, I believe HiRAD updates at :18, :38, and :58 past, so it could have still not updated yet. ;)
Zach, I was making the point that HiRAD did not update in between the two images, so there is an accurate and legit comparison.

I just realized something odd on my intellistar's LDL. As of this morning, it's showing the current conditions for Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, and Soquel (which has never shown up on the LF before). I wasn't aware that the LDL could show conditions for 3 cities like that..
That is not uncommon at all. In fact, both the Lansing and E.L. units do it. Grand Ledge and Eaton Rapids are on the Lansing STAR as well, and Haslett along with Dwntwn Lansing was added to the E.L. Intellistar unit. I also saw this in Grand Rapids. This is done when STARs serve multiple areas.

Banned because you thought to record TWC several years before I did.

Darn, I was hoping to see it. I see the miserable weather is going to keep temps up at night, 10 degrees above the record lows. I haven't had a record low set at KLAN since 2002, so I have never seen the record low screen in person.

I have a question too. I have something rare for even me going on tomorrow, according to my NWS Office over there in Grand Rapids:
Quote
Record cool maximum temperatures expected

Unseasonably cold weather is in store for Southwest Lower Michigan Friday and Saturday. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain below 70 degrees across the area Friday and Saturday. As a result Grand Rapids is expected to break the daily record lowest maximum temperatures for both Friday and Saturday.

At Lansing the record lowest maximum temperatures are 70 on Friday and 67 on Saturday. Both of these records are expected to be broken.

Muskegon’s record lowest maximum temperatures are in the lower 60s both days, which would be harder to break - but is not out of the question.

Warmer weather should return early next week with highs in the mid to upper 70s by Monday.

 RECORD LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES
GRAND RAPIDS FRIDAY: 71 DEGREES - 1937
                SATURDAY: 68 DEGREES - 1914
MUSKEGON FRIDAY: 60 DEGREES - 1934
           SATURDAY: 63 DEGREES - 1924
LANSING FRIDAY: 70 DEGREES - 1937
        SATURDAY: 67 DEGREES - 1912
TWC has 68 and 69 in, respectively for tomorrow and Saturday. Now, do record low maximums trigger the record low screen?

Well, I set up a secured network with the option
WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]
My laptop doesn't seem to want to connect to it
