About 50 minutes ago, my IntelliStar rebooted, but with the wrong ID # (22207) which is for Marietta, instead of (22204) which is for Downtown Atlanta. Should I tell the STAR team about this or should i wait a few days and see if it's fixed on it's own? The configuration is not all that bad, but since I do live much closer to the Downtown Atlanta area, I like to have that one back.

Hmm, I would wait a few daze (2 or 3). Speaking of the STAR team, I wish they would change my forecast titles. I do like the one you are receiving, Tavores.

I think I'll get this TV tuner

http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html
or
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hvr1950.html

as a backup since my main source to record from my VCR won't last forever imp.

Tavores, just a word to the wise here.
IMO, Hauppauge is simply crap. I have bought two of them, and haven't been able to get either one to work.

That is the tuner I use on my desktop, and it gets not only great video quality, but it gets among the best audio quality of tuners out there.

Why doesn't the location show up on anyone's profile (left side on posts)?
Because it never has.
I know it did at some point, but nevertheless it would be nice to see back.

Anyway, I noticed that I saw  at the end of quote on a post in the playlist discussion.

I've been uploading songs from the playlist myself with my IntelliStar. Please be sure to watch/rate/favorite/comment them :)

I did that as well, though I may be removing them as I get other clips of them from later in the month for various reasons (related to weather events, some screw-up, etc)

Does anyone know where I can get All for You by Steve Glotzer and Bossa Me by Norman Fisk? I can confirm the PY tune is not on any album because it is truly unavailable based on what Patrick told me. He composed the song for another project and couldn't find the song at the moment.

I always try bit torrents. Did you try lala?

I'm trying to learn the names of the songs, I think the second one is "Lights Up The Sky" by Ryan Farish, but I could be wrong.  :dunno:

Thank you Aaron, I wanted to be sure because I mistook a Yvonne Ayers song playing in the daytime playlist for a Ryan Farish tune.

Yeah, Heat and Things I See are very similar. I use the time they are aired to distinguish the two, though I know that is not easy for you since your Intellistar is temporarily out.

Intellistar 21884 didn't show signs that it had rebooted early this morning.
I hope you didn't record it; I know how little you want to record a hard reboot like I did back in February.

Something is seriously wrong with the weather across the country this week- Freezing rain/wintry mix (albeit light) as far south as southwestern Kansas and the Texas Panhandle, 13.8" of snow officially reported at the North Platte, NE airport yesterday, Winter Storm Watches through the plains (and snow forecasted for Chazz's area), and also a Wintry Mix in the forecast for southern Wisconsin. For me, rain. The record low for Rockford, IL was set at 25 (previously 26), yet my record low remains out
of reach, at 19.

This just isn't right.

However, this is an encouraging sign:

HAVE ENDED THE GROWING SEASON SO THIS IS THE LAST FREEZE WARNING
THAT WILL BE ISSUED THIS YEAR.

But I'm asking you why do you think they would take HiRAD offline just because of a radar glitch??
I'm pretty sure since you advocate for the mistake known as HiRAD that you would know radar is a major part of the formula for HiRAD??

What does the LF being out for some folks have to due with TWC taking HiRAD offline?
Of course, you look for my quotes attacking HiRAD and the LF...
Anyway, perhaps I should have been more clear. I added in that last sentence when I was referring to the radar glitching. Not sure why HiRAD is not taken offline while that issue is ongoing

Wow, the radar has been blinking this evening (or at least I have noticed it this evening). I assume since Mike is also reporting this issue that it is a national issue?

Yes, it's a national issue, which I believe is the reason why the IntelliStar has been out for several hours now, I hope it stays out all weekend there's nothing intereesting (weatherwise) happening here and it gives me a chance to record good songs w/o the narration running in the background. I haven't caught an IntelliStar outage since July so it's been a while.
Wait, so you're seeing satellite LFs and no LDL? The Intellistar is functioning fine for me. I would think HiRAD would be taken offline while this issue is ongoing, but TWC isn't smart enough to do that :P

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Okay, is TWC always supposed to have errors after their Saturday morning Cable In The Classroom segments? The show ended with commercials and then the station ID as normal. Then, after the station ID and the LF intro, they aired the credits for the When Weather Changed History segment used for Cable In The Classroom. At the beginning of the credits, they air the opening music for WWCH. Then the blue TWC [HD] screen, and then the LF.

Why are you even using TWCT during the schoolday? Most schools don't allow that and I'd rather come and post here after coming home from school then during the schoolday. (well, I don't want people to see me visiting a TWC forum)
AFAIK, I am the only person in this school who knows about TWCT, thus probably why it is not blocked. It is the only site I have available during the school day to communicate with other people.
