Radar is out as of this morning, not sure for how long though.

Also, the radar was frozen toward the end of the 11:00 AM EST hour on Friday

EDIT: Radar is back, but only one frame is available. Same case for the sat/rad too. Haven't decided if I want to upload a clip of it or not.

General Weather Chat / Re: Winter of 2009-2010 Forecasts
« on: December 07, 2009, 10:48:49 AM »
Since the middle of last week, the local weather teams have been advertising a possible winter storm to come in tomorrow/Wednesday.  Each day, they kept saying the models are being consistant, bringing the heavy snow here.  Sure enough, models are still bringing heavy snow to the area.  A Winter Storm Watch was issued yesterday at around 5PM, and early this morning, it was upgraded (or downgraded.... however you like the news :P ) to a Blizzard Watch.  This morning, the local ABC afilliate is calling for 8-12 inches!  If we do see that, it will probably be the biggest storm we have seen in a good 4 or 5 yrs.

Well, I got a Winter Storm Watch this morning, but I'm barely on the edge of it.

It appears as though the low will track right over me. This is almost the exact same track as the storm at the beginning of December 2006 took, and if you recall, that was an El Nino winter as well. I wish I could get a Blizzard Watch, but this does not look like the kind of winter that will bring that to me.

Because this winter storm is coming right at me, and this low does not appear to be taking the same track that the low during December 2006 did (which was also an El Nino Winter)

Am I watching my favorite episode of Spongebob?

I got a Winter Storm Watch, but I'm still not happy that that low is likely to track through Michigan

Can't say if that's true or not. All the people I've talked to in person don't like these changes either. I'd be interested in exactly who enjoys this.
Unless you've talked to everybody in the country, Tyler's point still applies. Believe it or not, there ARE people that enjoy TWC's programming, and ratings show that.
Well, there comes a point in time when you can shove too much down a person's throat. TWC does not make any new episodes of Storm Stories, WWCH, or ICHT anymore, and they keep re-running the same episode to the point where you can see it several times a week. I don't see what is wrong with some long form, but they have way too much on now. I too know a lot of people that have complained about it. What I take out of this is simply that they want to pay OCMs for fewer hours, and long form is an excuse to do that.

Nope, you're doing the dishes while you are using your laptop, like I always do :P

Am I still obsessed with Terminal Frost, even almost 4 months since it last aired on TWC?

1630
Nope, I read all the comments on your channel and they're gone. :smoke2:
It could be that Mike has the friend lock feature enabled on his account, and he hasn't readded me after I removed him due to extreme frustration.

Well, excessive longform is inexcusable. People tune to TWC to see their weather should severe weather develop or a massive snowstorm move in. Most people do not tune into TWC to see the same episode of Storm Stories or High Seas Rescue that airs 10 times a week.

1632
I still love Terminal Frost, and keep going through my many videos with it daily

I am a total fan of Runescape, as I've heard of it long before now, and I didn't only favorite that video for the song that was in it.

We need some snow!
