It's obvious, noticing the increase in Harry Potter ads on all NBC networks (not least of which is TWC), that the inclusion of Hedwigs Theme on the LF playlist is a promotion. But I just heard Jen Carfagno mentioning on TWC that the Harry Potter resort is opening in Orlando this weekend. Steph and Al will be there promoting it next week. I would expect this list to continue through at least next week for that very reason. I'm sure you all remember "Olympic Spirit", which irritated me faster than it was put on the list, being continued for so long just because of the Winter Olympics in February.

So I just got back from tennis over there at Eastern High School (which is actually adjacent to Sparrow Hospital). I've got a long way to go, despite some experience from last year.

I have not been using the same avatar both here and on youtube for almost 2 years now

Yeah, the whole "if you don't like it, don't watch it" argument is not getting anyone anywhere. People still watch it. I do.

That show has been in serious danger of cancellation for years now. There were rumors that Kathryn Morris wanted to leave the show.
Why? She was great for her role as Det. Lilly Rush, imo.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

So this segment on TWC is supposed to use S.O.S. as a different acronym. Problem is, thanks to the larger LDL, we can't see what the second S means. Sorry, I just love to play, as Ana calls it, "Spot the fail!" :P

Somehow by now, I'm used to it. I still don't like it, and from time to time I still find myself complaining about it. But yes, it was to be expected. I wonder if it had occurred to NBC that if people are going to watch national news and broadcasts, they would actually tune to the channels that have always been dedicated to that (NBC, CBS, ABC, etc).

Well I have about had it with my laptop. I rode my bike for an hour over here to record the :18 LF on WUWA... and because of my laptop, the skipping- along with the video and audio scrambling- were so bad, I had to scrap the recording. And I had nothing else going on. I am about to turn in my laptop to warranty. As far as I'm concerned, it's just scrap metal to me now until I ship it off.

Speaking of that, Comcast has finally converted some of their channels over to the digital format over here... including channels 35-40 and 44. This includes The Weather Channel. Not too convenient for me.

Apparently, wikipedia is "not a collection of links". One of the users added "&feature=channel" back into one of the video links for an XL in the database (which I edited out to make the links uniform), and told me that wikipedia is not "a collection of links" on my talk page.

So it seems YWT is using different production music in the opener now. I haven't heard the original music (that was composed with this opener) in a few days now.

It seems like there is some delay tonight while starting the LF music. At the start of every LF, you can normally hear the music for a brief second before the IntelliStar narration kicks in, but tonight, there it has been completely silent before the narration.
For some reason, I thought that was something that was up with my Intellistar. There's always a black screen before the station ID and LF.

I'm pretty sure they used 1,000 miles before. Yes, I too love the song. I tried catching Alejandro on the E.L. Intellistar this morning, but no bail.

Aaron, with a Pinnacle tuner, you should be able to exit the program while you program your tuner. (no pun intended)
Zach, the Pinnacle tuner is on my desktop. The Hauppauge tuner is on my laptop.

There in lies the problem. Graphics rating is horrible, especially for what I demand out of my computers.

If you play games then yes that is the problem. The CPU is the most taxed part of your PC for encoding and video processing. However I picked up a 280 buck old tower from Circuit City several years ago and its done just fine recording and processing HD video from a tuner. Your problem is choosing to do many other tasks while recording. In fact your biggest bottleneck most likely is your hard drive. Your computer has to constantly write recordings while reading and writing other information. You probably didn't get a 7200rpm HDD in your current laptops. Make sure you get one of those or an SSD.
You know too much :P
Yes, I multitask with my computers. With my laptop, I usually have to minimize the tuner window while recording, and close out of everything else. My desktop is great with multitasking. It's too bad they don't post hard drive speeds on the pages for each computer online. That would be helpful. Thanks for the info on computers Martin, you've cleared up quite a lot :)
