The Game Room / Re: Which would you prefer?

Family Guy... although I don't usually watch either one. Both are stupid... but I like that scene TBS shows where Stewie annoys his mom :P

22244 or 22840?

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Comcast Sucks.
« on: January 11, 2010, 03:39:43 PM »
Happened here in Lansing on December 15th... as planned. I got the paper work and information back in mid October. Weird, it is apparently still a year away for the E.L.

This complicates everything considerably when it comes to traveling. None of the boxes, even the ones they claim to be porable, won't work in other areas (even other Comcast service). I have to share one cable box with my dad... and neither him nor I can watch TWC all nite.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

Okay clearly, quite simply put, it's NBC being lazy... no matter how you see it. They obviously have other things on their agenda... being as large a corporation as they are, finding ways to make money, stay a profitable company, and increase ratings. It's obviously not like it was before NBC took over (nor will it likely ever be) at TWC, and to see the LF music be extended in coverage time like this seems inevitable. The people behind the scenes at TWC know that there used to be quarterly and yearly playlists, and they are using that as a justification to not configure new playlists.

The things that I have said here may sound debatable, but honestly, that's how I see it. We all know our ranting and wishing will not solve anything, so the most any of us can do is hope that a new playlist comes about.

Right, I think we all need to calm down. Yeah, I'm sure we all are getting irritated... but TWC can't hear our frustrations.

I agree, it is a great idea. The only problem with it that I see though is that greater lead time in Hurricane/Tropical Storm Watches/Warnings does not increase the accuracy of hurricane forecasting... nor does it change how easily storms can rapidly intensify or change course.

What happened to Molly? I haven't heard from her in well over a week. I hope everything's okay.
Remember she's in another country? :ermm:

Sorry if I sounded rude. ;)
While I know it's probably none of anyone but Molly's business (nor does it need to be), I never did understand what was going on here.

I have 146 4.7 GB DVDs full of TWC video. That's 686.2 GB of video. And then I have 20 VHS tapes full of TWC video. Each tape is 6 hours long, the same length of one DVD in SLP mode. So that's another 94 GB of TWC video. Total the two and you have 780.2 GB of video on removable storage (DVD and VHS).

146 DVDs x 4.7 GB = 686.2 GB
20 VHSs x 4.7 GB = 94 GB
Total = 780.2 GB

I have many many more GB of TWC video on my hard drive that I have captured with my tuner. Probably to the tune of 20 or 30 GB. So I currently have about 800 GB of video together.
Wow, I guess you beat me Billy :P
But then again, you do have recordings from a lot earlier of times than I do

lol Mike, I am like the current era TWC archive... I have between 2 and 3 thousand videos (not sure exactly how many); not to mention the raw files from recording nonstop

I am not working on a very long post in an old topic here, and it will not take me another hour to gather the data for it
