General Discussion / Re: The Pot Belly Stove

Well, I see weather.com has switched over their local forecast pages to the new look...
http://www.weather.com/weather/today/Lansing+MI+USMI0477?from=tenDay_topnav_pets
...yuck. I hate it. Too difficult to navigate (especially with the climatic data and other forecast tabs that used to be so easy to find). The thing I have to say I hate the most about it (besides the animating icons) is the removal of the text based. Now I have to watch the LF to see the details, and I can't get them for other locations now unless I go to them. Now I've asked this question before... and I am going to pose it again: when is TWC going to realize these icons (animated or otherwise) are NOT meant to be on the internet?

I just had my internet service down for about 20 minutes. Went through a long process of resetting my modem and router.

I get these "monthly router resets". So far it has not happened to me. It means my internet is down until I do some resetting of my modem. It really sucks.  <_<
ugh glad that doesn't seem to happen here
I usually end up having issues with my internet connection around once a week. Whenever I have trouble with it, I usually just reste both the router and the modem (which are both in my room, lol :P ). It happened a lot more before I switched out that old Netgear router (that we had bought in December 2005) to the Linksys one we bought in August.

Go Vikings!
Rock on, Haslett H.S. Vikings! :bleh:

I believe it was the father of "balloon boy" who for 10 seconds, I barely saw on The Today Show some time over break I think. Man, we get it pal, you don't think it was a hoax. You don't have to say that every other sentence. At the end of the interview, Matt Lauer tried to transition into the next segment, and he did what they always do when they're done interviewing someone on-air (So and so's name, thank you-). The guy interrupted him. I couldn't even watch that much of it, and wow, I'm glad I missed most of it.

Depends on what kind and size of french fries we are talking about, but I would usually say tater tots.

First 17 daze of 2010 or 2009?

Yeah, I suppose I would too, in my pants.

A freshman just accepted my invite on Facebook, but since he doesn't know me, I'm too nervous to talk to him lol :P

While Alpena enjoyed a clear and sunny day thanks to a hole in the clouds, we here in Lansing got some more overcast skies in my pants...

I've seen two page weather bulletins on this version and the previous version of the IntelliStar, but I never seen three before.  I also think some of those watches/warnings were unnessecary imo. Like that Freeze Watch on the third page, they were already under two Hard Freeze Watches....
I would imagine it was like that because the temperatures were not completely below freezing... and did warm into the 50's by day. Thus, the NWS has to issue Hard Freeze/Freeze Watches and Warnings for every last period that would warrant them... however unnecessary it may seem.

Hot chocolate... tea has the most foul taste ever.

Salt or sand (for treating the roads)?

Hmm, cold. When it is cold, my energy levels are off the charts, and I can get more done. While exciting, hot temperatures make me far more drowsy, and I end up getting less sleep anyway

I-10 or the Lake Ponchartrain bridge?
