Chris Geith at 8:38 AM EDT. Can't remember the tune though.

The daytime playlist better be good.. I hate the morning playlist so far, especially Anthem of Hope. Enough with RF's Bloom album, I want his classic stuff back!

Agreed. I do like his Bloom album though. I see not a thing wrong with alternating songs from his new album alongside classic pieces.

I'm on the fence about where I stand with HP. I'm honestly starting to believe that it was my own carelessness and the fact that I did not know much about computers that caused many of my problems the past few months.

Sounds like Lynn Patrick at 7:28 AM EDT... and I think this is the first time they have reused any of her music.

"Anthem of Hope" by Ryan Farish at 7:38 AM EDT.

"White Castle Blues" by The Smithereens at 7:58 AM EDT...

Just when I thought there may not be that many repeats, "Little Martha" by the Allman Brothers is on at 8:08 AM EDT.

I need a little more footage (HD clips, as well as some from the E.L.), and I have to sift through all my clips to see what I have double takes for. It'll be at least tomorrow before I begin uploading clips of this new list.

There's a song that sounds a lot like Trance Fury, which happens to be playing at 5:38 AM EDT... that sounds a lot like Trance Fury. Can't pin the name on it though.

Well for the first time in several playlists (maybe as long ago as the June 2009 playlist) there is a Ryan Farish tune on the overnight. Comparing my overnight clip and the Bloom album I just bought on iTunes ( ), it's "May You Run".

Anyone remember "In Your Own Sweet Way" by Miles Davis, from the March 2009 overnight? That's back.

Are all (or most) of these new OCMs coming from local NBC weather stations (or some NBC-affiliated company)?

Yeah, that's the general idea apparently. TWC has featured live shots from (and mentioned) KXAS many a time, so I am not at all surprised to see someone from that station coming on-board.

Well from what I have been told, other countries do have an emergency plan of sorts. Foreign nations have an emergency shut off option, where you can have a ship over the well send a signal down to the well and shut it off. The United States does not require that sort of thing.

It has been a looong time since I have seen this many tornado warnings all at once in this part of the country. A very active evening is still in store for the upper midwest, and it is likely to make its way as far east as my area and Detroit tomorrow into tomorrow night.

Well all I can say is we got lucky somehow. Apparently what the woman behind the counter at the Comcast office had told me is wrong... the DTA can tune to channel 99 (CBC).

Trevor, is this what your sat/rad view looks like?



If so, there may be a reason for that. It makes more sense for STARs in a generalized region to share configurations of regional products (i.e. Regional Map, sat/rad). That's why the STAR team updated every last Intellistar in the lower peninsula to show the same sat/rad view mine does following updates made here and an update to an Intellistar south of Detroit.

It seems as though every time I call about some sort of an issue, I'm told that Comcast is receiving "higher than normal call volume". The automated service said that I would be on hold for more than 10 minutes. Shouldn't Comcast take a hint from this?

Speaking of cable, I noticed in the past month or so that these thick cables that are orange and black in color are being placed underground along the outside of my subdivision. Are these fiber-optic cables?

I would assume so, but I'm not really sure.

So Comcast has given me the run around with this whole digital conversion concept. We went right through it in Lansing back in December, no problem. But from what I have seen, my dad got no notices of the conversion, and I only saw the warning message on channel 37, not 40 (TWC). In Lansing, we were able to get two digital cable boxes, in addition to two digital transport adapters, free of charge. We also swapped out a digital cable box for an HD box, again free of charge. My dad and I walked into the Comcast office between Lansing and the E.L. this afternoon, and were told we could only have two digital transport adapters, and a digital cable box would cost $7.95 more per month. These boxes only go up to channel 65, and there are a couple good channels (including CBC, Canada's better version of "NBC", if you will) above that.
