The Tor:con index is basically a glorified version of the tornado forecasting that the SPC comes out with each day. Just another marketing technique NBC has up their sleeves. A 10 on the scale supposedly means you are 100% guaranteed of having a tornado occur within a 50 mile radius of your location.

I don't want to sound technologically uneducated, but why does everything in HD have to be 16:9? I don't understand why you can't have 4:3 HD programming.

I must admit being this wrapped up into TWC has allowed me to expand my music interests, and now I listen to almost anything. I'm just with everyone else when it comes to the repeats on this list. I don't hate any of them, and I really can't think of any songs on this list that I hate. I just wish there could be fewer repeats of recent songs and airings or more classic tunes (Full Sail, Sunday :P ).

Today is my last day online before the move, so I want to wish you all a great weekend and start of the summer season!  Please wish me luck over the next few days.  I hope to be back at the end of next week when I'm mostly settled.
Well I certainly hope the move is easy and goes well for you. Just keep in mind while you are carrying boxes, or waiting for that Comcast guy to come, that you got a job! :P

Well the major thing that sets this list apart from the other two from this year so far is that those two lists included a longtime classic. The March list- "Listening Room" by Jeanne Ricks. The previous list- "The Gift" by 3rd Force. This list does not have anything like that, feel free to correct me if you feel otherwise though.

I just noticed those two songs (Rushing and Love of Strings) just now on the list. This really satisfies me as I was wanting to hear Love of Strings for a long time now. Rushing is a bit overplayed, but I still like it no matter what. I'm also waiting for Sunday, just like you, Aaron.
Well we can always hope for the next list :)

Also, I thought Terminal Frost was from the album "A Momentary Lapse of Reason"... at least the version I have copies of is.

Just like you have the highest position on this site, he has the highest position at BP. He has the responsibility of being proactive with choices made at BP below him. He obviously did not care, and did not even attempt to say he did not have an answer or respond correctly to the questions. He was sent a letter several days in advance of the hearing, and could have gone to others who knew more about what happened and the poor choices that were made. He was asked once if he made a commitment to safety, and if he followed through on that commitment. His response? "I am distraught". I fully understand it is not completely BP's fault. But they could easily have prevented it by taking safety into their own hands and being proactive with decision making.

I had a feeling Terminal Frost would be repeated at some point. But I have recorded it in a half a dozen places, and that was just the July 2009 list. Everyone knows how obsessed I was with it last year, but I must admit I'm not too crazy about hearing it again.

Just about all of these repeats I have multiple clips of, from multiple locations. And I don't understand why they can bring back Love of Strings and Rushing, but not Sunday. I like both, but I was really rooting for Sunday.

Oh my god, Rendezvous by Eric Marienthal. Enough with that song already!

"Going With The Grain" by Ron Fattorusso, from the October 2008 primetime is back. I like it, but again, another song that is out of place.

On Air/ LF Graphics
Heh, the same reason I gave it a 2! NBC only cares about the advertising and the money, not how much work they put into their graphics.

So I have looked over a couple clips on youtube of the hearings yesterday. All I can say is... wow. Evasive is an understatement to how Tony Hayward responded to much of the questioning. I know less about the company and operations than he does and I could have answered the questions better. One misconception that just about everyone has is that it is not all BP's fault. Granted, BP very easily should have prevented this disaster, and they carried out the operations of the well. But they only lease it; they do not own it. Even though many are already on both the cleanup and shutoff operations, just about everyone can do more.

Why did I have the hunch that the Jars of Clay song would be on this list? Not sure, but the same song that was aired twice in a row last year is back. I like it, but it does not belong on any playlist that spans any part of the day that has daylight.

Simple Pleasures has aired at least 4 times up through the beginning days of the NBC acquisition. I have a 90 second clip of it from December 2008... not at all in the mood to hear it air again.

I don't know that I care for Dell computers. What really sold me with the laptop that I bought was the touch screen control panel. It is so neat to only have to touch a spot above my keyboard and turn down the audio right then and there. Only HP computers have that from what I have seen, and I haven't seen it on Dell.
