Our editing director at church said that when he went to an event held by Adobe, they asked how many people had After Effects. Then they asked how many people had a legal copy of After Effects, and only a few hands remained up. I think my hand would have to go down on that one. I do plan on buying it SOMETIME, but not anytime soon LOL

What's considered a non-legal copy of After Effects? :dunno:  Don't worry, I'm not trying to bust you or anything Austin.  I know sometimes sites online have programs that you can download for free, although I don't remember seeing any for After Effects.  So maybe it's a trial version or "simpler" version?

And Victor, I just typed in "After Effects" in Google, scrolled to the one with the Google Product search (shopping results) and discovered it was $524 for PC and $589 for Mac.  There may be additional costs, too, if you look at the prices for it at Wal-Mart or Best Buy, it is near $1000! :o  Amazon offers it for a little over $600.  Once again, you guys who have it must have a lot of money in your pocket. :P

Non-legal copy = Pirated copy

Heh, my dad's laptop has After Effects and Premiere Elements installed on it. Which one would be more suitable for emulations? I don't think the After Effects is a full version but I didn't see the program asking for a reg #

I create my animations for school on After Effects. I don't use it for videos because I haven't mastered it yet, but when I do, I will. After Effects for emulators.

General Discussion / Re: Congress drops SOPA and PIPA (for now)

Saw a graphic, perhaps true and perhaps not, but it said that the presidents from Washington to Bush gathered 3.2 billion $$$'s in debt. Obama collected 3.6 billion. Sad.

I am glad SOPA is dead. The rep that introduced the bill is "revising" it. Let us see how much bull :censored:  comes from it this time.

For those of you with an iPad 2: do not jailbreak. The jailbreak is so buggy and unstable that my iPad was slower than a snail crawling in the rain. It crashed 6 times within the first 2 minutes. Immediate restore in progress as of this moment.

I think if even there was more new age, like more Ryan Farish, or 7and5, the playlist wouldn't sound quite as jarring. There are only like 5 good songs IMO on this list. They should not have messed with the daytime and overnight.

I wish they hadn't of messed with the morning playlist.

I think having Linkin Park on the LF is very intrusive to the calmness one is supposed to feel during a LF, especially during a thunderstorm or something. The song isn't relaxing, sounds like someone is about to break into your house or kill you when I hear it.

I have skywarnal.com blacked out, but the main page is still accessible to those who need it at mainpage.skywarnal.com.

14. I always pay for my own stuff but in this case I just needed help with this. The only reason I need a good editing computer is because I make videos and other things for our church. If it wasn't for the editing portion (and the lasting-longer part), I would need or want a Mac. They're too overpriced, for a UNIX foundation.

Wooooow. I have $750 and am willing to pay my Grandparents that much to help me out and buy the MacBook Air for school and editing purposes. They won't do it. Why? "I don't need it." So right now I have a failing computer that has almost the same specs. I'm not "allowed" to get a new computer. Whatever this is, something of value will be lost.

Weatherscan Discussion / What Do You Think the Fate of Weatherscan is?
« on: January 15, 2012, 06:30:44 PM »
After all of the recent changes at TWC since 2008/NBC takeover, what do you think the fate of Weatherscan is? Would TWC continue to work on it and develop it? Would there be a Weatherscan HD? Would it be discontinued?

Also, is there any word on Weatherscan or something similar coming to DirecTV? That'd be nice.

Anybody know of some good, modern cafe music? I'm a music director for the church cafe now!!
Like lounge music? I know some very good music albums (i.g. Ibiza Mixes and Deep and Wide) and they make good lounge music.

or if you're thinking TWC..Sun Sleeper by Greg Long and Truth, Simplicity and Love by Soulstance make good cafe music too
Also Cafe LA by Shahin and Sepehr, and Bad Bad Simba by Paprika Soul.

Thanks! I checked out some songs on there, I love it! Thanks again!
