The blood

If 2(x)2(=)6 and 2(+)2(=)4, what is 2(/)2?

Well, I guess since one person already bumped the topic (which was two years old when he did) before to express an opinion, I guess I felt I should do the same. Yeah, I really needed to bump it

Haha! They won't even waste their time with continuous live broadcasting... and when there is live broadcasting, they show the same segments every 30 minutes, which are all usually pre-recorded except for the little 10 minutes of forecasting they do during the half-hour, which another 10 is taken by commercials, usually advertising bullcrap that we don't want to watch, or just want to watch for the limited commercials and/or the garbage they call "LIVE WEATHER" they present now (that NBC took over).

I love the Weatherscan for one reason:
You don't have to watch the pre-recorded "live" forecasting or the TV shows.
You should get why I said "pre-recorded 'live.'"

Local Forecast / Re: Weatherstar 4000 Locations that remain
« on: June 12, 2011, 12:30:32 PM »
Troy Cable is based out of Troy, AL (which is about 30-45mi away from us) and they have just opened another headend in Ozark, so my thoughts are (just a thought, no need for anybody to jump all over me, correct me if I am wrong) are that they are buying an Intellistar for Ozark, while they are using a plain 4000 that is not programmed for any specific cable company (hence CITY CABLEVISION on the ID screen).

Local Forecast / Re: Weatherstar 4000 Locations that remain

I've heard of cable systems using a more distant STAR in case of failure of the local one, but I don't think I've ever heard of a headend keeping a second, more obsolete, STAR as a backup in case the primary one fails!  Very interesting!

If I am correct, the XL failed completely, or is just being repaired (possibly an upgrade due to jump of subscribers?). If the local forecast was unavailable, it would just switch to a national feed, but this is pretty sweet.

IDK

Is a heat advisory in effect?

Not yet, surprised that there isn't.

General Discussion / Re: SKYWARNAL being Examined by the NWS
« on: June 10, 2011, 11:23:50 PM »
That's good news. Out of curiousity, what did your local NWS office have to say about it? I've never thought to have a weather website examined by a WFO, so I was wondering whether they complimented it or gave you recommendations?

They really were amazed that I had such a website and I was providing the information I was (at the time), but they never really said much about the website itself.

To everyone: I have been cleared to have this website by the NWS, and have renewed the domain for another year. Thanks to everybody's support and the NWS, as well.

We've got everything settled now, we are changing some stuff on the site so we are displaying only a plain message on the front page. We'll likely be online by the weekend.
