I'm interested in graphical editing and weather, so I decided to combine the two.

Here is a slate I made to mimic the HD National sidebar showing where you are looking.

Here is the overlay I made for the video at the end of the post:

Current Conditions titlebar (feel free to use):

Here is the video I mentioned earlier:

I'm not posting in this thread.

Good god...

Please do not move the camera around so much when you do these clips.

I'm so sorry that I didn't have a TV TUNER at that EXACT MOMENT so it would be a steady image. Besides, you aren't the STAR Team, so why did you have any business reading this thread or watching the video? Geez.

I would say VB is a good start if you're looking to make an actual program, assuming you have avid programming skills. As for IS2 animations, you're on your own for that I'm afraid.

I'm more graphical than code, but I am learning, still... I have been working with Visual C# '08/'10... the book I've been learning from lets me create a POS program with no graphics and Terminal font conditions.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / STAR 006942 Channel, Regional Obs issues
« on: July 05, 2011, 07:56:44 PM »
If this STAR is no longer supported, please let me know or ignore this post.
Weatherstar 4000 ID#006942 is not on the correct channel (Channel 12 is current TWC channel) and the regional observations have Tallahassee and Jacksonville colliding with each other on the map. Can this be changed? To my knowledge, this STAR is running and has been for about a month.

Cable Headend: Troy Cable in Troy/Ozark, AL.

WeatherSTAR 4000 in Troy, AL (006942)

So, I have several questions I would like to post here.

  • How do you program an emulator? What is the best program to use to work the emulator (ex., Microsoft VB, etc.), what is the best (XML?) feed to get info from?
  • Are there any images such as the IS2 animated current/forecast graphics available to the public (for download) at the moment?

Any answers are appreciated! Thank you!!!

Has this been ID'd before? Not sure.

Weatherstar 4000 Emulator: Episode 1, Volume 2

Sooooooo, what do you think??? I know I need to fix the icons and some of the text, and get the radar working... other than that, it is near good

PS: I inserted the text into the images in Photoshop, then put the images together in After Effects. The only thing I didn't do was the radar (in PS).

The background images are not mine. They are property of WEATHERSTARIII on the Taiganet forums.
