Coming from the person who once tried to eat just rice with chopsticks...
chopsticks are annoying.

Went to the sporting goods store today and found a quite nice croquet set for $50 - quite nice for a beginner I'd suppose. This evening "on the porch" in my backyard, I played a game of redneck'd croquet with the hoops scattered into a small area in 76 degree weather. I remember why I love the temps in the 70's now. I actually have somewhat of a nice hobby now :)

The sun (del sol :P) just emitted a huge flare that will reach earth in the next few hours and last into Friday - likely disrupting satellite, GPS, telecommunication services, and even the power grid.

Anybody here have the oh-so-addicting Minecraft? Definitely worth the $26 bucks, may I say.

I also have a MP server.

General Discussion / Valentine's Day

What does everyone think about Valentine's Day (or as I like to call it, Single's Awareness Day)?

Mine, quite frankly, is already going wonderfully. Somebody had to run their mouth about who I was going to ask and I got pity out of it. Someone who spoke to her after the fact said that she'd say yes as a friend because she felt sorry for me. Kick in the head to me.

Woo-hoo for another 14 years of SINGLE'S AWARENESS DAY

Did anyone have a favorite commercial from the Super Bowl this year?  It only cost about $3.5 million for 30 seconds this year. :P  I'll admit that they were much better a decade ago, but I'd probably have to pick the one with the Doritos dog telling his owner that he didn't see anything from this year's group of commercials.

I like the Budweiser commercials every year because of the Clydesdale horses. They really got me on the 9/11 commercial they aired.

Gee, those icons cost more than I thought.

How much they want?
Read Above. I said those systems were. Titan I'm told costed ~$40K and Max now is like ~$50K and that's most likely just for the contract and service. You'd prob have more fee's for the Workstation systems as well.

Jeez.

I bowl usually about five times a year and always manage to walk out with a score of 50 or 60, I think once I made a 100-120. Here are some tips for the bowlers like me:
  • Stretch before the game and in-between games
  • Occasionally try to pop your knuckles
  • Remember (unless bowling competitively) that you aren't working for anything and it is just for fun
Those tips were used when I got the highest score mentioned.

Nope, it feels like Dejanoveburary. A mix of December, January, November, and February.

I would not be surprised to see Google Chrome 20 by the end of 2012, or at the latest the first two months of 2013.

In other news, our neighborhood has had a series of break-ins recently...at least, until today. About a half hour ago, about 4 cops tackled this guy on our front yard and arrested him on the spot (apparently he'd been on the run earlier). Turns out he was the one responsible for the break-ins, and also the guy I saw peeking into our living room window around 3 AM a week or two ago! Needless to say I'm relieved he's locked away.

We had a pervert neighbor that set up binox to peek in our house. Called the cops and he was "warned." I think if I saw anyone doing it again, I would show them the shotgun and .380 I have next to my bed.

It may not be long before all our favorite internet browsers have double-digit version numbers.  Internet Explorer 10 is coming out as a final release later this year, Firefox 10 was just released today, and Chrome 16 is currently in use.  Are we heading for triple-digit version numbers several years from now? :P

I think that the browsers (except IE) will come out to be known as different names every 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 versions released - like the STAR units. IE is usually released every year or so.
