Make a thread in this subforum addressing the issue, the STAR team should be able to look into the problem for you there.  ;)

Tavores is right.  This sounds like an issue the STAR team might be able to handle. :)

General Discussion / Re: How many weather radios do you own?
« on: February 07, 2012, 09:09:25 PM »
Well, I own one at home, but I couldn't tell you the model name. :P  I've always referred to it as a "NOAA Weather Radio," but from looking at Trevor's post, it looks like that doesn't refer to the model but the broadcast station.

So that I won't hurt Ana's feelings, I'm not going to say anything bad about this show, although I think it has nothing to do with weather.

Don't really have a problem with the program, but its timing.  They should really focus on four reality-themed programs per year (1 per quarter/season) and assign them to a season.

IE Coast Guard Alaska for winter, this for summer.

That's definitely a good idea!  Maybe they will consider this?

I kind of suspected amber alerts were issued by the NWS, because I can remember hearing them on my NOAA weather radio at home.

However, I've never seen the notice on weather.com before.

Honestly, what is so great about those icons? :dunno:  First of all, the pictures provided are so darn small, it's hard to even see them.  Second of all, I don't see why you all would actually be willing to pay for icons like this, when you can get plenty of others for free.

I'm losing track of all these new long-form shows being added.

IMO, this is just ridiculous.  I really don't think they needed to replace Trammell as the emergency feed, but what do I know? :itsok:

Though this is based on no research, I, for some reason, have a sneaking suspicion that things are going to be topsy-turvy when it comes to spring.  When we're expecting the mild temperatures is going to be when the snow and arctic air invades.  Hopefully that won't be the case.

I'm also wondering about the status of La Nina.  I guess we can justify that the south has been warmer, but it's been pretty wet lately.  I guess judging the pattern based on one system is inaccurate, but it is nice to see this rainfall.  *knocks on wood*

Until Tyler or Martin or other reliable source confirms that there is indeed a new STAR platform, I think we need to be patient and not hold our breath.  Rumors can go a long way, and what if this is one of them?

why would you think the reply it's a rumor? i bet if you asked your cable company you'd get a reply about the platform too.

Well Alex, if I asked my "cable" company about a new STAR platform, they would probably scratch their heads and wonder what the heck I was talking about, considering my provider is AT&T U-verse and they don't even have a STAR!

Along with StumbleAudioJazz's clips, Farish apparently might be the new emergency feed music.

Is this the end of Trammell on TWC?   :cry3:

Oh well, he had a great 16 year run. :itsok:
Ditto. :itsok:

Yikes! :o  I am going to miss Trammell; after 16 years, they're really going to replace his music?!  The emergency feed isn't a regular thing to be shown anyway, so what's the point in updating the music?  Now we can't talk about "Trammell Sightings" anymore...oh I'm sad.  Maybe it was just a fluke.
