They should change their name to InAccuweather. I don't like their forecasts anyway, always accuwrong.

Lol, you're right!  I don't even know what to say about this right now, except that the 15-day forecast on AccuWeather was never, ever accurate, and I don't think this one will be any better.  Even the general weather trend (i.e. will it be sunny, rainy, in the 70s, 80s, etc) is frequently wrong.

All I am going to say is that TWC did a FABULOUS job covering the severe weather/tornadoes in Texas today.  (I am biased because this is my hometown, so you better believe I was tuning it in to TWC to see if they were covering anything or not. :P)  Obviously, TWC doesn't show around-the-clock live weather coverage as much as they used to, but when the time comes, they will pre-empt accordingly.

Pre-emption is happening right row as TWC covers the severe storms and reports of tornadoes in Dallas/north Texas.

EDIT 1: Looks like it's Chris, Crystal, and Dr. Greg Forbes giving the coverage.  Mark Elliot was on earlier showing iWitness videos.
Not sure how long the extensive coverage is going on, but no LOT8s shown at 2:58 CT.

EDIT 2: As we are in WCL regular programming: short commercial break :06 - :08 and squeezeback used for :08 LOT8s.  Full LOT8s at :18, and at :28.

EDIT 3: Carl Parker and Alex Wallace on at 4 PM CT hour of extended live coverage.

This is no joke. :P

Oklahoma City did not quite reach the 90s.  The temperature at Will Rogers World Airport topped out at 88°F yesterday.  Some areas of far southwestern Oklahoma were only a few degrees away from the triple-digits!  It's a little too early to be this warm.

I wanted to tell you guys in a separate thread, and seeing that I haven't been as active before, I have some news to tell you:

I'm pregnant. I'm having a boy and is due sometime in September. :3

Ana, according to my time and CERTAINLY Pacific Time, this post was made on March 31st.  Which means it techincally wasn't April Fool's!  So...what are you naming him? :P

Wait, it's April Fools Day?

Yes, April 1st is April Fool's Day.  ;)  In case some of you have been asleep, welcome to April, folks!

Now where's that thread saying that the site will be shutting down... :whistling:

PME is gone now. WCL took its place, but the squeezeback is using the old WC tag, which has been happening for several days now.

Oh man, no more PME?  Unfortunately, I feel like this show just kind of phased out.  Obviously it has been gone on weekdays for quite some time, and I guess this new schedule sees it gone on the weekends too.

I'm sorry, but these new icons are crap.  I certainly hope they do not debut at any time on live programming/the SD-IS!

:offtopic:

I'm not liking these new weather.com icons.  I don't think I have bad eyes, but for some reason they seem so hard to see and very hard to distinguish.  Also, the moon is way too dark.  As with any set, I'm sure I'll grow used to them, but why did they have to change them in the first place???

Does anyone think they should have made the video wall bigger?  I'm sure it properly suits the functions they need it for, but when compared to the rest of the wall, it seems so small.

I like the way they did that "background" wall, though.  Nice use of lightning.

looks like new weather.com icons went live today?

Partially.  More so than yesterday, but not all the way.  The "tomorrow" tab and "month" tab still use the old icons. :hmm:

It would be nice if these pictures you've provided could be posted to another website so that we could see a bigger version of them (the current links are broken).  Nevertheless, I appreciate the view of what the new video wall looks like.

Apparently, he fell off the roof of his house as he was removing Christmas lights.

Removing Christmas lights...at the end of March?!?!? :o

What was the "freak" accident?  Are we allowed to disclose it?  Very sad news.
