Wow, Kelly is going to be by herself?  Bet she's going to be exhausted after tonight.

Just got back from being in the basement for about a half an hour.  The sky looked very ominous prior to my evacuation downstairs.

And this is only day 1...

Pre-emption is happening now as well.  A tornado touchdown was reported in Norman! :o

EDIT: Chris Warren, Kelly Cass, Jim Cantore, and Dr. Greg Forbes are providing coverage.  Brief shots of Mark Elliot in the Digital Media Center.

If they are going to do WUWA and YWT from NYC then they really need a better studio.
They adjusted the lighting for this morning and it was to bright with a bad glare on the big monitor on and the LCD monitor.

I agree. There studio is too small for 2 people to host. They should never send Stephanie and Mike to NYC because they don't belong there. If they will be in NYC permanently, both of them have to relocate, buy a new house and talk with there family if there going to move with them which cost $.

Well, I don't want to get into too much private information, but I have heard that Mike has been MIA for about three weeks or so.  This could be enough time for a move; maybe he's already there.  I have no idea, and probably never will know since we're not allowed to exchange private information like this.

That would explain why he wasn't there this morning I suppose. If this becomes a permanent thing they might as well have Al, Steph, and Mike host WUWA and let Eric and Jen host YWT. I don't think there's a need for Mike and Steph to still be hosting YWT when they're in NY hosting WUWA, but I digress as always. :itsok:

Well, Tavores, Donovan and I have been talking about this.  Notice how on the Facebook page it says Mike will be rehearsing with Steph for "YWT Live."  (And I don't know what the live is for...are they going to add live after all of their live-programming shows now?)  Anyway, we think that viewers have really liked the NYC-setting of WUWA, and so NBC/TWC are all over this and will now bring YWT from an NYC-setting, re-pairing up the highly-rated pair of Mike and Steph.

It is possible that both Steph and Mike are now permanently in NYC, but I certainly do not know this for sure.  I would appreciate if someone can confirm what I'm saying, or bash me over the head for completely false information. :P

Cool!  An IS2 from Hawaii!

An important question, though: is that city-by-city 36-hour forecast new, or only for Hawaii?  I have not seen it on another other IS2 videos that anyone has posted.

73°F Cloudy

I find it very interesting how it was completely sunny (not a cloud in the sky) one moment, then less than half an hour later, it was mostly cloudy!  The onset of clouds can come very quickly, I guess.

Welcome to the forums!

On another note, is anyone else having an issue with YouTube where the default quality for a video is the lowest possible?  For example, I am viewing a video with 240, 360, 480, and 720p, and it was automatically selected for 240p.   Originally, the default quality would be the highest possible, so something may be wrong with my internet, computer, idk.

While you have that video, can anyone tell me how Dave Schwartz and Warren Madden were able to hum to the LOT8s tune (at least, I'm assuming that's what they were doing).  Can the OCMs hear the LOT8s? :dunno:

The absolute best walk-behind was when the window cleaners were cleaning the window behind the anchor desk.  :)

Did you by any chance happen to catch that one live, Eric?  I've only seen the clip on TWC's 25th Anniversary video of that blooper. :)

Sorry "MultiJesse1995" but as everyone else has mentioned, the graphics are copyrighted by TWC and are strictly prohibited from being distributed in any way, shape, or form.  We regret to inform you of this. :(

I agree with Zach that this should probably be listed in the FAQ or somewhere "noticeable" because there have indeed been many topics and/or posts made about it.

I hope everyone had a FABULOUS Easter Sunday!  Unfortunately, it rained in Dallas (though it was partly sunny in the morning), so the weather wasn't the best.  But I saw sun peaking through the clouds today on my drive back to Norman, so I have experienced mostly sunny, cloudy, rainy, and stormy conditions today.

Easter still isn't narrated... You'd think they'd have recorded it and everything by now. Instead it's just "Our local forecast."

Does the IS2 show "Easter" as a day name?  If so, I am very surprised because Easter is not considered a federal holiday, and I thought the IS2 only showed/narrated federal holidays, like the NWS.

Anyone here off from work/school tomorrow?

I am not, but if doesn't really bother me because I only have 3 hours of classes, ending at 12:30, and then I will be going home for the weekend! :D
