Where's Storm Alert? :P

Is TD 3 that tropical wave that was being watched closely?

I still can't believe TD 2 formed into Ana, but it's path looks like it might run into land and weaken it some before it reaches the U.S...I'm not sure. Doesn't it's path look similar to another storm's, though? I can't quite think of which, but I guess truthfully, a lot of storms follow the same path.

so this weekend marks my last weekend in San Antonio as I head off to college, some of my friends left today...and i've come to the conclusion that...it sucks.

lol -- i hate saying goodbye, i hate hearing goodbye -- i actually prefer "later", as I see friends drive off into the direction of their college/university I can only wonder if we'll ever see each other again...although deep down I know we will for holidays such as Thanksgiving and Winter Break etc.

but still, adapting to this new environment I will be calling "home" next weekend is going to be tough, new people, new friends, new courses, new everything, part of me is excited...the other part of me is brought down with sadness.

a new chapter begins next weekend for myself, and other 09ers heading off to college (if your classes begin aug 24  :PB)

I wish you the best of luck with a new life, Al.  I know it can be sad leaving all your friends and family.

BTW, what college are you attending? :dunno:

TWC just showed a "YOUR Hurricane Authority" commercial.
I thought it was "THE Hurricane Authority" this year?

Yeah...that is pretty weird.

It must have been something from last year.

And on a side note, I don't like how TWC stresses "the" in "THE Hurricane Authority."

Wow Kyle, it would be great for you to come down and work in Dallas! :thrilled: I think WFAA is a good station too, so good luck! :)

Great pics, Joshua! :D The big bolts of lightning fascinate me too, although they can be a little startling at times.

As Michael was mentioning, some restaurants here turn into Check-Cashers or Loans places as well. It's kind of annoying IMO.

Vanessa Hudgens being on WUWA (and more so TWC in general) is just shocking to me. :o I guess WUWA is definetely a "different" show.

And about the pronunciation of "Ana", I pronouce it how you would Ana. I heard Carl Parker say it the other way on DP the other morning, and it doesn't sound good to me.

IMO, we REALLY need to be on topic here. I'm not laughing.

That's exactly what I think, Ana. This topic has really gone down the wrong path. <_<

So, I heard that one  :censored: Vanessa Hudgens was on the show. After hearing her "scandal" I completely lost respect for her.

What??? Is this a joke, or was she really on WUWA? I can't believe it.'

And Al, I've been saying this a MILLION TIMES now. Please pronounce my name right.

How is he saying your name wrong? :dunno:

Interesting...I thought TD 2 was going to develop into something (maybe even a hurricane), but I guess it ran into conditions that greatly weakened it (although it never really was much :P).

Any ideas on when the second "disturbance" will become a TD? :dunno:

Anybody have any idea why the desk is turned towards the WUWA set during PM Edition and Day Planner, Me and Martin are interested in the answer to this question.

I would like to know that, too. The desk is turned towards the WUWA set, but the OCMs sit with the monitor in the background, meaning one is at the small brown desk. :hmm:

Fair: 90°F

There's also an Air Pollution Watch Level Orange in effect...maybe that's why I feel like crap today. :(

One of you said it doesn't matter if it is hot, because the school day is spent 90% in school.  THAT's WORSE!  A lot of schools do NOT have any air conditioning.  There have been times where the teachers would have us sit on the floor, with fans on and lights off.  It is miserable, and hard to learn.

So that's probably the reason why schools in the NE start after Labor Day, because many probably don't have air conditioning. ;) But I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, schools in the south have A/C, so the heat really shouldn't matter (except for those who have to walk).

Either way, you are going to deal with heat, because if you go in Early September, you'll have to stay into June.

That's a good point. For one thing, heat doesn't tend to die down here until mid to late September, and I'm sure schools wouldn't want to start that late. And in addition to what Kyle said, June is a hot month as well. So either way, you're going to have to deal with the heat. ;)

It's not the final product. I just need to find out how to get the forecast images shrunk down to be like a real IntelliSTAR. :hmm:

Also, don't mind the DBS logo and the fake data please. :P

DBS Logo by Michael Raymond, not me.

Zach, if you don't mind me asking, what program did you use to put this together? I'm trying to do one of my own but can't get the "box" to not come up with a white background. :wall:

IMO who gives a rip about the heat...the kids are inside >90% of their school day anyway >_>

That's whats I think, Jonathan. Heat should really have nothing to do with when school starts.
